Much improved product
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate their easy-to-schedule platform through their website. It is easy to use and the template option makes the process of setting up common meetings simple and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration between Zoom and Google doesn't feel helpful. I have tried using the plug-in with my Google calendar, but it ends up assigning numbers that don't seem to work + then they don't show up on my Zoom list on the normal Zoom website. I have been burned a few times with using the Google calendar plug-in, so I don't trust it anymore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They make it super easy to add features for month or two, and then drop them again. As a small business, sometimes I will need an additional feature for an extra meeting or two in a month, so I can add it on - but then they make it extremely easy to drop that add-in feature so I am not making a long-term commitment for services. This gives me peace of mind that I can try out new things.
Productive and seamless manor to stay in touch
What do you like best about the product?
The feature to allow you to feel more confident about having your face in a camera and the sharing screen capability
What do you dislike about the product?
Not everyone uses so sometimes have to use teams. The blur background doesn't always work. The updates only seem to happen when you have to get a meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying in touch - so much more advantageous seeing people and their reactions rather then guess on phone calls
Effective online meeting software
What do you like best about the product?
When COVID hit and shelter-in-place became the norm, holding various meetings in-person came to a halt. This impacted churches significantly in their ability to minister to their congregations. Various groups which met regularly were now unable to meet. While as a non-profit using Google we also had the ability to use Google Meets, Zoom had features that were not initially available on Google Meets or their implementation was not as effective. One of the most useful features for some of our groups was the breakout sessions. Google did not have an implementation and even though third party developers offers some solutions the ones available at the time weren't as easy to use as Zoom's internally developed solution. Also the ability to record a meeting regardless of the type of zoom account you have is very useful. The fact that some of our volunteers already had experience using Zoom at work helped reduce the amount of training needed to be provided.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zoom (to be really useful for presenters) required the installation of the zoom app on your laptop (windows or mac). Google Meets was totally browser based so it had no such requirement of presenters. Also newer features at the time (like choosing a virtual background) were limited to a computer with more current processor. I was unable to use this feature because my processor happen to be one year older than supported which wasn't an issue with Google Meets. When you initially click on a link to join a meeting, Zoom doesn't make it easy to simply use a browser to attend. It's pop-up window is set up such that it 'encourages' or presents launching the zoom app as the primary approach. It should make it easier for those who simply watch a meeting to do so using a web browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While we have returned to meeting in-person for many meetings, there are still a few groups that prefer to meet remotely or use a hybrid meeting (some attending in-person while others remotely.) Zoom has held provide this access when some participants prefer to be remote or for a particular meeting are unable to attend in-person. We hold a quarterly business meeting to which all our members can attend but some due to date and time are unable to attend in-person. Zoom provides the means for those who can't attend in-person to attend remotely. The ability to record both video and audio to make them accessible afterwards is very useful.
The best platform I've experienced
What do you like best about the product?
I resisted virtual conferencing for over a year and then discovered how well it works. So convenient, customizable and effective. Took me a while to learn how to use it and adjust all the many settings. Now I wouldn't be without it!
What do you dislike about the product?
The settings are a bit confusing for me. I don't fully understand all the amazing range of settings available to me. I'd like simpler settings that are explained better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to have to drive up to an hour to meet with clients. It was difficult and stressful arranging a quiet place. I found myself being more productive and less exhausted from rush hour traffic.
Zoom is the easiest platform for newbies
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom was an easy way for new to library users to attend virtual meet ups and schedule staff meetings with various members. Zoom's integration with other platforms such as Facebook and Youtube made it the ideal software for livestreaming.
What do you dislike about the product?
The various versions of Zoom are just different enough to throw off new users or those unfamiliar with video conferencing. There is not enough educational material or how-to guides/videos for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is solving problems of location - people who cannot be in the same place at the same time can still meet up virtually. Zoom also crosses the device divide so that people with different devices can still communicate effectively in a virtual setting.
ZOOM IS WONDERFUL FOR QUALITY COMMUNICATIONS WITH FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND CLIENTS
What do you like best about the product?
We deeply appreciate and enjoy using Zoom for many reasons including:
(1) Very easy to learn and to use;
(2) Very easy to involve other parties;
(3) Very flexible to use - for scheduling meetings, organizing the screen, inviting other parties, etc;
(4) Ease of posting slides and or pictures on the screen during the Zoom call;
(5) Excellent customer support; and
(6) Reasonable price schedule.

We do not have any concerns with regard to using Zoom.

Zoom allows me to maintain quality communications with clients and partners without time-consuming and expensive travel. It allows me to use my time more productively while maintaining quality client relationships.
Zoom was invaluable during the pandemic
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it allowed me to maintain contact with my family and coworkers. I appreciate how easy it is to use for my older family members. I didn't even consider any competition.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I am providing tech support for my coworkers, I can't enter an admin password in windows. Zoom needs to have a way for administrators to enter passwords to make administration easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is solving the issue of risking COVID by face to face interactions. We have the benefit of not wasting time traveling and performance and productivity have increased greatly.

Easy to use, even for newbies
What do you like best about the product?
Customer Service helped me figure out closed captioning without making me feel stupid or wasting my time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't always tell who was speaking, especially when there are more than 20 people. Move the talking person to the front page and highlight their box so I can tell who is talking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is helping me reach hundreds of volunteers throughout the country and train using google slides. We were shut down during the pandemic, but we still needed to reach voters. Zoom allowed us to train thousands of volunteers and reach tens of thousands of voters. Thank you!
User friendly and aesthetically pleasing interface
What do you like best about the product?
It is user-friendly and I like the interface. It is best for sharing screen among other platforms I have used like Google Meets and Microsoft Teams. I like the one click login feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not integrated with large corporations, does not meet their firewall/privacy requirements, so I cannot host many client meetings. The blur background feature is not as good as others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is enabling me to stay connected with coworkers seamlessly. I like the calendar integration feature since it saves time for setting up meetings and minizming admin.
