I love Zoom and want it to get even better!
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom helps be able to quickly get a video conference with multiple people across the country with screen sharing capabilities. I love to have that it has the capabilities to host a large number of people all in one meeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
What is dislike about zoom is that it takes a lot of resources from my computer and sometimes when I'm in a meeting my computer slows down a lot. I think it would be much better if there was a way for zoom not to use as many resources from the computer. Also sending invites is a hassle having to copy the link from multiple places.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom mainly allows me to communicate with my team and clients in a fast efficient manner. It makes it easy to get a lot of work done in a few hours with my team on a zoom meeting instead of having to meet in person.
Generally great, except captioning strategy.
What do you like best about the product?
Other platforms work better in some browsers, worse in others. Zoom is always predictable and OS-agnostic. I use Calendly for people to schedule meetings with me, and the integration there is perfect for people to schedule a Zoom call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Closed captions should NOT require people to ask the organizer to turn them on. This stigmatizes people and is inconvenient, often bringing a meeting to a halt. If they aren't enabled by the organizer before the call, it's impossible to turn them on without restarting the meeting. Everyone should have independent control of their own captioning view, and the organizer should have additional control to turn on captions for all attendees, to create an inclusive experience. Zoom was the best for captions at the beginning of the pandemic, but MS Teams and Google Meet are better now.
The ability to annotate is better than competitors, but the multi-step process of clearing them AND closing the tools is so clumsy when trying to also talk to people.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy meeting setup, ability to annotate my drawings in real time (I'm an architect) make it a good tool for creative professionals.

What do you like best about the product?
Additional interactive features like polling that can be done quickly to do temperature checks of the room. Also run into less issues with others connecting since many people have experienced Zoom by now even if it is not their main platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there was a way to get all participants on the screen in a larger number than currently available so you can see the entire room at once if you needed to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the need to to quick face to face meetings on short notice.
Zoom keeps us connected
What do you like best about the product?
We are a fully remote team and Zoom helps us stay connected for both business and "fun" team building meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The technology w/ digital background choices is a bit lacking, but that's not a deal breaker

Again, we are a fully remote team in multiple time zones. Zooms helps us stay connected and have "personal" meetings.

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility that you can use Zoom to Communicate with others is wonderful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The technology can be rather difficult for some. But I wish there was a person at customer service that one could talk to when I have a question. I don't always have time to go searching in your library of helpful hints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are still impacted by not being able to teach classes in person. And zoom allows us to still get some of our training done through this capability.
Zoom is essential for busy business owners
What do you like best about the product?
The zoom video conferencing platform has changed the reach an impact of our private practice. We were able to now meet with students and parents all over the city as well as the state. We have hosted webinars drawing and audience from a national reach. Most effectively, we appreciate the record feature which allows parents to access our strategy meetings well after the fact.
What do you dislike about the product?
The more that zoom can help with Calendar integration and saved specs for personal meeting room, the better. Clients would love to see that feature simplified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to using zoom, we were only able to meet families after school a couple of times a day given the commute and traffic limitations. Now with zoom, we are able to make a greater impact in our local city. Now that we have launched our online webinars and parent workshops, we are drawing an even larger audience, therefore expanding our value add to parents and students across the country.

I wish the current time would display on the screen as an always available visible feature.

Easy recoding and sharing of meetings some staff cannot attend

Simple and easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
I use Zoom to meet people who otherwise are not meeting in person. I also use Zoom as a note taking platform to relisten to meetings for tasks, ideas, issues...
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes clients are not allowed to use the Zoom platform. Not sure why this occurs but when it does then I must use their platform which I am not familiar it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom has reduced my need for travel yet allows me to still connect with new clients or prospects using the video capabilities. I also use Zoom as a means to document conversations.
Great workhorse for video communication
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has been very easy to use and very intuitive. It has much of the functionality that we need. In addition, through TechSoup they provide non-profit discounts which we like that they support organizations like ours.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue for us has been video streaming while doing a Zoom presentation. We have had issues with lag that other platforms don't seem to have as bad. Some of the reporting could definitely be better and streamlined. Finally, we have had past reporting just disappear. There is no way to get it back which puts us in a bind with our funders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Zoom for video meetings. However, we primarily use Zoom as a way to broadcast our trainings. We do this in both the meeting and webinar platform. We switched from Adobe Connect which was harder to use including setting up meetings, exporting data, reports, etc.
Zoom has served us well for communications during the pandemic, and continues to do so

Relative ease of use, for inexperienced users. It is particularly helpful to see faces and be able to share a screen.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I am not active in a scheduled meeting, users complain about not being able to mute those that simply don't get it. Yes, there are ways around that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom addresses the issues of geography and difficulty with travel. Sometimes it is just local travel, and sometimes international.
