Zoom for family time
What do you like best about the product?
Many features, easy to use, able to connect with family.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is a little much and I have the cheapest version other than the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't use this particular Zoom account for business. I use it for personal use, but it has helped me stay connected to family members that live far away.
ZOOM is simple enough for the least tech savvy
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to schedule and run meetings with large groups of people, including those who struggle with technology.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that billing/subscription was based on usage. We use our account for monthly board meetings that run long. Otherwise the account sits unused, but we have to pay extra due to the length of our meetings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have board members spread across a wide geography and need a way to organize and record meetings. Without it members would be driving for hours to meet, which just doesn't work.
Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and efficiency of the product. it is very easy to create a meeting from any platform. And the ability to integrate into calendar apps [like Calendly] make it even better.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be symmetry across the various platforms. Fading the background should be the same or even better, any changes should be reflected in the next platform. I also wish there were a way to see previous meetings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom helps in allaying client fears of meeting. Zoom also makes it convenient for the client. I would revisit the time frame allotted for free accounts...I was in a meeting which cut off at the 40 minute mark but the customer had upgraded his account...suffice to say he was not happy that it took another 15-20 to get people back in the Zoom.
Solid Platform!
What do you like best about the product?
From an admin's perspective - Zoom is amazing! Love that our team can be managed one place, even if some members don't have a paid account. There are a ton of awesome organization tools for admins that we haven't had a chance to use yet. We've recently set up some Zoom Rooms as well - they have been a massive hit!! Love how easy it is to use and once we got things connected, playing with all the setup options was fun. Also love breakout rooms!! And annotations :)
What do you dislike about the product?
It's sometimes tricky to share host permissions on the fly and we occasionally run into issues when the original host of a meeting is running late or cannot attend the meeting. I also wish there was a way/place to quick to quickly grab a link to the meeting once it has already started.
OH! And the "you're logged out" popups that come up when I switch from my desktop to laptop drive me crazy. :)
Maybe it's because I used it first, but I still prefer the UI for Google's chat platform - and the ability to see a preview of what's being captured on camera before hopping into (or hosting) a call.

Zoom Rooms are HUGE - they make it MUCH easier for in-person teams to meet without giving up precious screen bandwidth to see the other attendees. And as one of (possibly the?) leading name in meeting platforms, Zoom has been the most consistently trusted (and understood) platform by our customers for remote meetings. (We've tried others like Google Meet and HiFive)
Almost perfect
What do you like best about the product?
it works each time I use it, it has features that I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
when I had an issue with my zoom conferences dropping me, zoom didn't seem to have an answer for me. they blamed it on my service provider who then blamed it on zoom
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is giving me a low cost option for tele-sessions. it is allowing me to reach people internationally. it is giving me a platform to do my current work and ensuring I can grow my influence
Have been very happy with Zoom for telehealth
What do you like best about the product?
It has every feature I could want, in addition to the add-ons for anything else I might want later. It's the most stable platform I've used as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It occasionally struggles when I'm connecting through a VPN.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was originally using another product for telehealth during the pandemic, but I switched as soon as Zoom became more affordable for my use case, as it was always my preference.
Convenient Virtual Meeting App
What do you like best about the product?
Straightforward, reliable, and not confusing. Also very customizable to what's needed. Love that for layouts, I can move the speakers around with ease. The app is usually very stable.
What do you dislike about the product?
That there's no volume adjustment abilities for individual people, as some have their mic too loud or low. The mobile app is very hard to navigate and use, especially when on limited wifi or data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom solves the way people can do virtual/remote classrooms and co-working which is necessary as we're still in a Pandemic. It's an easy way to meet new people through group activities and still have a one to one experience.
One of the best virtual meeting spaces
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, well known so people recognize the legitimacy of meeting on Zoom and haven't Zoom meetings, expanding capacities, and ease of streaming into other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it's just a black background around the videos. This is why I also have StreamYard, because they can be customized and branded in a way Zoom can't. And even adding opening videos and such for streaming. That would be amazing if this was also available on Zoom pro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of meeting with people from all over the world. This has expanded my business, I am truly "international." Also, having extra tools like breakout rooms, polls, etc creates for a more interactive experience with events that increases the value of the event for participants and the value of Zoom to my business.
High Quality Video with a Minimum of Setup
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom really is the best among its peers -- Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, BlueJeans, and Google video. Zoom doesn't have much of a learning curve for most people to be able to join a meeting and participate in it. Yes, you have to install software, but the one-click to install and launch into a meeting is really nice compared to Webex and GoToMeeting have an obnoxious number of questions you have to answer to join a meeting.
The video quality of Zoom is also the best of what I've seen across the other options. Zoom can weather very resource-constrained machines and low-bandwidth connections better than its peers, rarely pixelating the video feed or dropping out on audio. In contrast, solutions like Google Video and GoToMeeting that can work in the browser without software tend to be affected significantly by hiccups in the connection. Browser-based competitors can also be affected by browser extensions that prevent the auto-play of videos or block the loading of ads.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Zoom didn't have to be running all the time on my machine; just like Webex and BlueJeans, it stays running in the background even if you're not logged in. If you connect to a private network that doesn't allow public internet access, Zoom is constantly popping up messages to let you know it can't reach Zoom instead of just staying quiet.
Zoom's UI also always feels like it's in the way, even if you have two monitors. There are times when I want the Zoom gallery of users to be always on top in a picture-in-picture mode, but it will only do that if you minimize it, and it will only show you the person who's currently talking. When presenting, most of the time I want the UI to be docked on the left or right side of the screen (like with GoToMeeting) but instead, it wants to dock at the top or bottom, putting it in the way nearly 100% of the time (since you're either trying to interact with title bars of applications or the Windows taskbar). I also find it difficult to locate the UI options I am looking for when presenting since the UI layout is fundamentally different in that mode than it is when I am not presenting.
On Mac OS, I wish that Zoom made it easier for IT admins to grant it the necessary access to the microphone, camera, and screen recording. We frequently have to touch every Mac OS machine to grant these permissions even though Zoom is managed by MDM. I suspect this is more a problem on Apple's side than Zoom's, but the documentation on deployment could be a lot clearer.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom makes it easy for users who are not tech savvy to participate in meetings remotely. We find that it is much easier for both non-technical and technical users to join Zoom meetings than with Microsoft Teams, even though we subscribe to Microsoft 365 Premium, which includes Teams.
Used by many
What do you like best about the product?
Used by many so attendees are familiar with how it works. Easy to share your screen and I also love the breakout room feature. It is reliable most of the time. I like the different views.
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes a couple of minutes to load the meeting and always asks for permission to connect to audio. It is not horrific or pain-causing but it is time-consuming. The log-on part is annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work in a remote first organization where we need to connect with our teams and colleagues. It also allows us to connect with clients in a remote setting. We also host events internally with it.
