What do you like best about the product?
The greatest value of Zoom Workplace now goes far beyond simple video calling; it lies in its impressive transformation into a comprehensive Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) platform, along with the thoughtful integration of the Zoom AI Companion. While Zoom continues to set the standard for video quality and reliability, what truly impressed us was how smoothly Zoom Phone and Zoom Team Chat work together. This integration has reshaped our hybrid work approach, allowing employees to transition effortlessly from a video meeting to an external phone call or a team chat, all within the same application. The AI feature, which provides real-time meeting summaries and action items, has been a real breakthrough, making sure that decisions made during meetings are automatically recorded and followed up on.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Zoom Workplace excels in communication, there is room for improvement in how it integrates with third-party document and task management systems. The platform does provide its own tools, such as Zoom Whiteboard and Zoom Docs, but these offerings are not as advanced or as seamlessly connected to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace workflows as some alternatives. As a result, users often need to switch between different applications when meetings require extensive co-editing. Additionally, although the AI features are impressive, the licensing fees for advanced functionalities and conference room services can become quite substantial, especially for large organizations that have already invested in hardware from other providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom Workplace addressed the challenge of having multiple, disconnected communication tools and the resulting employee context fatigue. In the past, we relied on a legacy PBX system, a separate chat app, and a different video conferencing platform. By bringing all these functions together within Zoom, we were able to cut infrastructure costs significantly and make IT support much simpler. Most importantly, the overall user experience has become much more cohesive: employees now spend less time juggling different applications and more time focusing on their work. The smooth transition from chat to voice call to video call has sped up decision-making and made collaboration in our hybrid work environment feel more natural and less frustrating.

Although Zoom Workplace is generally dependable, there are a few things that could be done better like Regular Updates: Workflow may be disrupted by the platform's frequent updates, particularly when attending a meeting at the last minute.

Particularly in remote and hybrid settings, Zoom Workplace has greatly enhanced team collaboration. By offering dependable video meetings, chat, and collaboration tools on a single platform, it addresses the difficulty of maintaining communication between remote teams.

The desktop app tends to use a significant amount of system resources during extended meetings. There are also extra charges for webinar add-ons, phone system features, and some AI functionalities.

Zoom Workplace allows me to gather with colleagues when not physically available, offering an easy-to-use platform for meetings with options for individual speaking or group discussion.
Effortless to Use with Great App Marketplace
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is easy to use, and that you can add apps from the thier app market place. Also we use calendly for meeting with our clients, and Zoom intergrates with calendly so when a client makes an appointment they get an email with a uniqu link to join the meeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about it is that you need to be on the entreprise subcription in order to get 1080p video.

It allows us to meet client virtually no matter where they are. I'm base in Georgia and I meet with clients over zoom from all over the united states

I find Zoom Workplace to be incredibly invaluable for our lab as the primary source for meetings and discussions. I appreciate that it consolidates all our illustrative tools onto a single platform, making workflow much smoother and life easier for everyone involved. The variety of tools like the whiteboard, phone, spaces, team chat, and meetings stand out for me, providing a comprehensive suite of functionalities that cater to diverse needs. I particularly enjoy how these tools foster a sense of personal and close interaction during meetings, almost replicating an in-person experience, which enhances our communication and collaboration. Switching from Teams to Zoom Workplace was a great decision for us, given the advanced tools and capabilities that surpass our previous tool's offerings. I am frustrated by the occasional issue with the mute function in Zoom Workplace. Sometimes, even when the mute button is tapped, it still picks up little sounds. This can be disruptive during meetings, and I feel this aspect should be improved.

Before, during, and after meetings, important assets (like agendas, files, or chat) were scattered. Zoom now has a Meetings tab inside its app that centralizes meeting lifecycle: calendar, chat, recordings, and shared docs.
The continuous meeting chat means conversations don’t have to start and stop strictly within meeting time you can pick up threads afterward.
