Asana is a great tool for team collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is its collaboration abilities for teams. I used Asana in working as a contractor for another company and it made it super easy to communicate with their team remotely. It's pretty quick and easy to learn and the interface makes sense and is well designed.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I did not need to collaborate with others outside my own office, I don't think I would use Asana as there just aren't enough relevant features for me. I'm someone who is extremely organized on my own, and don't always enjoy having to learn new software programs unless it's very necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has really helped me communicate with other teams in a collaborative, efficient, and useful way. I've realized that if I continue to grow my own team, implementing a software tool like Asana would be highly beneficial for growth and success.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Asana for medium to large-sized teams, especially for those who work remotely. It's a great and efficient way to communicate.
Too much for what we needed. Some bloatware features
What do you like best about the product?
Feature rich platform that allows you to do very complex project management tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
Non-intuitive on-boarding and requirements that passive users do too much
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking progress of our marketing team's design projects
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Buy the professional services contract. You will need it
Good tool for managing workflows
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features of Asana is the ability to save project notes in the cloud and not have to worry about storage space, it is very useful to be able to save various types of files such as text, images, PDFs, Etc. To give more shape to workflows and make them more understandable. It is very intuitive as a whole because from the beginning you can make notes and square data. I like the alternative of making mentions similar to what we find in social networks, this undoubtedly increases interactivity between those involved in each project.
The overview of Asana in its main panel is very wide and you can see all the notes you have created in the workflow, gives you a comprehensive view of all the progress you've made, although sometimes it can be confusing to handle so many elements on a single screen, is useful because you do not miss any detail and forgetfulness is rare. With respect to subtasks and other items this system is well implemented because each action will generate an alert via email and this will not make you lose any detail when you have the main panel full of complex workflows.
Notifications for any change are massive via email and this is important to keep track of any changes your team makes, it can be annoying in projects that do not have high priority but in my team we only use Asana for fast projects and high priority, so this feature of constant notifications have been very helpful.
The user experience is simple but you'll have to deal with the platform for at least an hour to become fully familiar with it and get the most out of it. The color scheme is well used and the speed is always present, you will not experience any delay in data processing so you will save a lot of time and you will only have to worry about prioritizing your project well.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only complaint I have regarding Asana in general is the continuous logout that I experience on some occasions, the work is saved but it is annoying to have to log in at every moment. I have already reported this problem to the support team waiting for them to fix it. Other changes I would make in Asana would be to change the look of the dashboard for a more organized one where workflows can be organized by folders or at least that each column differs from the other with brighter colors than the difference from each other and thus avoid mistakes when downloading data into text fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In general Asana meets the expectations to position itself as one of the best workflow managers, I recommend using it in its free version because you get to do a lot, those who are going to buy paid versions should consider familiarize completely with Asana so they can get real benefit.
Easy to collaborate across teams!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can put in a ticket to my development team very quickly, easily and they can see it right away in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search feature isn't great unless you know the exact thing you are looking for. I would like it to be more filterable in this way

Collaboration between dev and CSM
Asana for medical
What do you like best about the product?
Great for project management. Very powerful efficient tool that allows multiple projects with multiple team members work smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app version on the mobile does not have all the capabilities and this can be limiting. The mobile app is only good for simple to do lists. Also filtering tasks can be confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All members of the team can see all tasks and let others know of something is being worked on or fixed. Makes the days go by smoother.
Great Organization Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the collaborative effect, we use this at meetings and it's helpful to be able to categorize and run through the important and due topics.
I also really enjoy the fact that multiple people can be on at once editing and using the product, for a lot of other products you can't all be logged on at once. In meetings, many of us can be taking notes and running through lists without disrupting each other.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it collaborated more with things like Hootsuite and Google Docs. I don't really have many dislikes about it because we use the free version -- I feel that for a free version of this product it is insanely awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this tool for project management so a lot of organizational problems have been solved. We are able to make sure that everyone is using it to track their projects correctly.
I feel as though it would be beneficial to move to a paid version of Asana in order to better track projects, and it's super inexpensive too! Only $19.99 a month to be able to have a few people from your team collaborating on a project. I'm sure the enterprise level would be perfect for companies with large groups that need support.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Probably use the paid version if you want more defined projects!
Odd way to keep track
What do you like best about the product?
The COO of my company forced this on us. It does not seem very coordinated. Doesnt allow for much flexibility. I dont like anything about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont like anything about it. Cant use easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unsure.
my experience with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
it was one of the premier project management tools I was introduced to and I found to be extremely user-friendly with its interface and it served the purpose of a small team
What do you dislike about the product?
there were only basic functions with adding in items and timeliness. The new software available offer an array of functions and services
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
tracking a project's timeline
Recommendations to others considering the product:
assess the size of the team and the functions you need out of a project management software before making a decision
Asana, a simple and practical application.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very clean and designed exclusively to make the user experience pleasant and fast, the main panel is very clean and looks like a white leaf at first so as not to stress you with unnecessary instructions. To create tasks has greatly simplified the process as you just need to do a couple of clicks, this simplification is well focused as this tool is not to develop complex schemes but to organize projects. It is fabulous to be able to register the people you want and interact with them through the comments they make.
To add attachments you just have to drag and it is very good to immediately notify the project's security on the files that are uploaded, in addition to being able to assign tasks to multiple users. It is recommended to assign individual tasks because when you mark the check of completed task this disappears from the dashboard. To see this in the task view you can see all the activities and give it as unfinished and see everything that has been done.
Asana is a very interesting project center where you can track your tasks from any device with mobile applications where I only recommend to see the tasks because the desktop platform is the best. The addon version of google chrome is great to manage locally. The battery of notifications in Asana can sometimes be annoying but is understandable in a communication center and organization of teams but you can modify this to avoid the email reminder to avoid spam.
This manager is free or you can pay less than a dozen dollars a month but for large teams the price goes up, this can be saved due to the possibility of creating unlimited tasks and subtasks, Asana functions are very good for small projects or very fast tasks with few people because the platform has certain limitations as to the changes that can be made in a project.

What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is easy to understand but in order to understand it you must review it carefully so that you don't get confused with so many options and can find the best workflow. I have a negative criticism regarding the keyboard shortcuts, some of them do not work or are very uncomfortable to apply, I suggest to leave this to the consideration of the user. Another important thing is the fact that you can't change the type of project once started, for example if you start a list project you can't convert it to a dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is a widely used and known task management tool, it is a suitable tool with certain advantages that require experience in order to exploit them. It differs from similar managers by having the ability to communicate any changes made in the project through an internal channel and via email. You have no limits regarding the tasks you can perform and the appearance and usability are very simple, you just needed time to understand the potential they can give to your team.
You can think that all this can be done with another tool but Asana is designed to provide interactivity in sending documents for a project, this way we avoid the use of email and have an effective communication in real time.
Asana should only be used for free and with few users, if you are going to buy it I recommend that there are only 5 users because you pay 5 by 5. It's a page to see the progress of certain projects and go marking them as completed, beyond that does not offer something more relevant but is very easy to use with a fast interface.

This is not a tool that I would recommend.
