Great UI and easy to use, but extremely limited without Enterprise
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is extremely user friendly. I like that you can open multiple tabs to work in different projects/templates at one time. I also love the ability to add custom fields and templates are easy to build.
What do you dislike about the product?
I understand that there should be incentives to upgrade, but not having the ability to assign anyone without an Asana license makes it very difficult to keep using (not much value). I can't share the project or tasks with anyone internally or externally, making it an ineffective tool for project management as I can't use it to hold others accountable and provide insight into progress. Aside from the tracking which I could do in Excel, it's really just a prettier interface. In order to really get value from Asana as a project manager, you'd need everyone to have licenses, or you'd need the Enterprise version. In addition, dependencies are difficult to manage, at least with this product tier. It's really confusing and not super intuitive. This may be easier with Enterprise, however, when you're able to assign tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's really just a pretty way to track task completion manually.
Better experience as an end user than a creator.
What do you like best about the product?
Being assigned tasks is quite useful and helps me get things done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creatin tasks and basic functionality/usage, the layout is too subtle and the prompts are non existent. I do not respond well to the child like emojis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in an all remote company and it does help to coordinate projects.
Like Asana but don't quite know all the features yet
What do you like best about the product?
I like best about seeing what tasks have been assigned to me, and how I can come alongside and support those teams with requests. Given the nature of my job as a production director, we support all the ministries in my church with AV and production services. Asana is great for not forgetting the things you absolutely need to provide and provide with quality. On the flipside, being able to receive attachments such as photos from the communications department is awesome instead of emailing them, asking for a graphic when needed, etc. It's all right there and downloadable onto any device that is necessary to download to. So, it's got great features for just those two things alone!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the UI. Seems clunky and all over the place. Hard to find downloads or at least it wasn't as intuitive to find downloads attached to tasks, etc. I recommend changing that!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the time it takes to contact an employee to provide a graphic for me, whereas emailing them and waiting for a response can take hours if not days. Once they finish their task such as designing a graphic, that is uploaded pretty seamlessly and accessible by nearly anyone on the team.

It's relatively easy to use and works well for coworker communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slightly difficult to navigate. Task organization in the My Tasks section could be improved upon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every morning our team comes together to discuss assigned tasks for the day. Seeing everyone's workload and estimated work time helps us discuss if we need help or not.
A Project Manager's Review
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to collaborate with associates on a project and ensure deadlines are met. It is very user friendly and offers an array of options for integrating with other systems to allow for proper work flow. This platform is used by my team every day and makes the day's work load easy to capture.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limit on the number of fields visible in a task being 60. My particular industry use could use many more fields. Also, the limit on reporting charts/graphs.

Ease of managing projects from start to finish and hitting deadlines. Working directly with collaborators from across the nation in an efficient manner.

Intuitive and Reliable Project Management Tool for All Teams
What do you like best about the product?
The clean and intuitive interface was a decisive factor in choosing Asana. We initially used another project management tool, but it was too complex for the non-technical members of our management team. Asana’s simplicity allowed everyone—regardless of technical background—to quickly understand and use it effectively. Features like task hierarchies, timeline view, and automation make it easy to stay organized and improve team collaboration. Seamless integration with tools like Slack and Google Drive is also a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Asana is ideal for general task and project management, it lacks some advanced features such as detailed resource allocation or more customizable reporting dashboards that some other platforms provide. The mobile app experience is not as smooth as the desktop version, and certain automation or advanced permissions are only available in the higher-tier plans. These limitations may affect larger or more complex organizations seeking in-depth project analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our management team initially relied on Excel spreadsheets for project and schedule tracking. However, the spreadsheets quickly became difficult to read and manage, and no one was motivated to use them. After trying several alternatives, we discovered Asana. Its simple and user-friendly interface made it easy for the entire team to adopt. Asana has greatly improved our internal workflow visibility and has become an essential tool for managing project timelines and responsibilities efficiently.
