Uncluttered and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to organize the way I want it, especially by project or category. Simple dashboard allows me to find things quickly, change settings, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite being an application with a ton of integrations to other apps, Asana does not yet have an integration for either of my accounting or time tracking apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running my own company, I have a high volume of tasks that I need to track and they are spread across multiple projects and administrative categories. Asana helps me to organize them in a way that is easy to use, without bogging down another app (like email). This type of system allows me to track both long and short range tasks without getting cluttered.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Research Asana's integrations with other software - it has plenty. Asana is good by itself but would be great if your other app's can integrate with it.
Overall a really good tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to collaborate with team members across department. I really like being able to tie contingency tasks to each other. That way, if a task gets delayed, when you change the due date, it will shift the contingent tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, it was too granular and just needed a simple overview. For the power users, they put EVERYTHING in this tools which is great for them but at times, I just needed an overview.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows us to manage multiple projects at the same time while adjusting accordingly with setbacks
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Review them, Monday.com, and Trello. We preferred Asana
Annoying
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to access. It seems like they went out of their way to make it easy to get in.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's confusing once you get in to it. I have the hardest time figuring out where I need to go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time management, mainly by using it to plan events.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn it before using it. Watch the tutorial videos!
Successful Usage interface, calculator and productivity
What do you like best about the product?
In our organization, we use the basic option for project management software that provides what the mid-sized teams need. None of the premium features seemed more appropriate for larger organizations. It can successfully perform many functions, such as status updates, deadlines and calendar views.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of any desktop applications for Asana has prevented the expansion efforts in our institution. After a year, for example, if you are accustomed to use over time, you are still trying to find all the features and best uses and therefore get good case studies to get best practice examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to the successful design of the application, the site loads quickly and this is always a plus. Project management solutions may become difficult in the future, but Asana's approach is the most flexible solution I have ever seen. The ability to add media and document files to each task item is useful for our employees who can split each task into sub tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can consider integrating with HipChat to extend your communication access without having to upgrade to the paid version of Asana. Of course, after using it, you can at least consider getting a basic package. Asana has always been happy to try to improve the design and functionality of the site.
Asana has a lot of potential, but doesn't always deliver.
What do you like best about the product?
As a user who is assigned tasks more often than I create them, I like Asana because it is easy to see at a glance what tasks I need to complete and I can prioritize my list according to due date. It's super straight forward and makes it easy to be organized so projects don't fall through the cracks on a busy team. They also have great and easy to follow tutorials.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana has a lot of features - tasks, projects, portfolios, sections, and more. It can almost feel like they have TOO much going on. For me personally, I concentrate on tasks and the overarching projects they fall under. All the other features are unnecessary and just make the program seem cluttered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit to me is the ability for teams to easily break projects down into individual tasks and assign those tasks to team members. It makes it so everyone is on the same page and can easily find out what they have to accomplish that day, week, and month. Asana makes it simple for everyone to be organized and not forget about assignments, no matter how big or small. It helps organize teams, but each individual user can use Asana in whatever way makes sense to them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is great, just figure out what you need it for and make it work for you. Don't get overwhelmed by the amount of different options and features.
Asana is an alternative for for workload management with window to improve.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana will help you manage your workload within your team by allowing one to be the managing force while others follow. The team can either be small or big, and it should help you with managing time, tasks and so one.
you can specify which task is assigned to who and the time where you expect this task to be complete. Once the task is complete people can upload the file (if a file) or update the progress within a certain task.

What do you dislike about the product?
It feels lacking behind some of the competitors even though it allows you to do most of the stuff, Asana feels more like an alternative route where there's already a pre-established road.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped our small team of 4 manage the workload more efficiently, keeping track of our progress and dividing and conquering tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're a small enterprise or a small team go for it, it would give you the tools needed to manage workload between your colleagues.
Review of Asana

I like that I can collaborate with others and know the status of their work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had difficulty figuring out how to communicate with one another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Each week I am responsible for putting together an Order of Service for Sunday Worship at the church I work at. Often, we have a "lay leader" who is in charge and Asana is a platform we can use for communication since they are not in the same office as I am.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is definitely worth a try. It is a time management tool that has helped to coordinate and share documentation very easily.
A Simple Solution for Organizing Tasks
What do you like best about the product?
This is so much better than just having to constantly ask everyone what they're working on. Plus, we get good use out of all of the different templates and features. We're using the editorial calendar to keep track of content and it's AMAZING.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little messy and difficult to understand at times. Some of our team members had a hard time figuring out how to get started. It's also just tough to remember to log your tasks and mark them as complete or incomplete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to track content and break projects down into smaller tasks and Asana lets us do that easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be patient with implementing it and be sure to remind your team often about using it.
Good, but not non-techie friendly

Ideal for small work teams
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the best known workflow manager and although it doesn't have many updates and appearance changes, it is still the spearhead to facilitate the management of projects in large teams. The free version is enough for my computer because each user can create a free account and rotate the work without having to pay. On previous occasions we have bought paid memberships but we don't see the need to do it again. The way you can edit the tasks in very comfortable because you can start editing just by posing the mouse on a box, the social interaction within the application gives it a similar look to Facebook and this way the team can make comments on the development of the project in general.
The process to upload files is very dynamic and easy to use, we have not experienced loss of data despite having few updates. The calendar included in Asana and the free templates are fantastic, very similar to Evernote's and in them you can start placing data without having to modify too much. The visual aspect, the speed of the platform in the web environment and the ability to add lots of notes and make comments social network style, make Asana my favorite online project manager.

What do you dislike about the product?
Personalization is something that cannot be applied in Asana in a profound way. While you can change the color of each project to differentiate them, it is not a satisfactory change for those who wish to give a completely different look to the visual appearance of their projects. While Asana remains focused on simplicity, they should allow the introduction of third party applications to empower their platform. If Asana implements the same vision of Slack, allowing the creation of channels and an open API that allows the integration of Bots and classic Google programs, then it would be used by more people and would be more positioned in the world of online projects. There are also errors when editing some boxes, you start typing but it is not saved automatically, although it is a minor problem because generally in Asana are written phrases cut.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has not contributed so significantly to my company's projects because we relegated it to independent work of each work team but the organization that has given us to take control of each step has been great and so we highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have notes online and thus not forget the simplest tasks but no less important for the organization and completion of projects.
