What do you like best about the product?
User friendliness. It’s clear, simple and efficient.

The monthly priced concept. I would rather pay for the software once.

Time, clarity, efficiency.
Good project management but not the best
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and great at helping keep you organised. For a small company or individual there isn't much more one could need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found asana a lot of effort to maintain. As our organisation grew It became difficult to use and not scaleable enough. It doesn't allow you to assign 2 people to one task which can be annoying. It's functionality in general is limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a tool to help with project management, save time, organise tasks, keep individuals accountable to tasks, It did all of these but didn't save enough time.

What do you like best about the product?
It is super helpful that my whole team can login and break down a project together and we can see the updates amongst one another.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has limited features unless you buy in to the plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solved issues amongst teammates on wishywashy deadlines. Now it's in a clear, organized place with checklists and we can see in seconds what steps were up to in a project.
Asana is a Task Management System
What do you like best about the product?
The integrated messaging to email makes it easy to see updates on tasks. Being able to respond to co-works and updatings projects is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system can be difficult for complex or multilevel projects unless there is a sole person managing the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are saving on communication time. Using Asana to execute action plans from meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a simple platform for task management Asana will do. It can keep your team organized but it does require some work for larger and long term projects. Great for archiving information and pulling up past project information.

What do you like best about the product?
Good for basic collaboration, alerts to project followers is good, could be better, truncating messages and updates is cumbersome.
What do you dislike about the product?
Truncation of messages and updates makes it difficult to view the latest messages and updates

Good, but too flexible
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to create cross-team or cross-organizational projects. This helps keep the entire team aware of what's going on at any given time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I actually don't like how flexible it is. What ends up happening is different teams end up creating boards and tasks in a ton of different ways and there ends up being very little cohesion between boards. It takes a ton of work from project management teams to sort it all out. If it were simpler and a little more refined, it might help take away some of the overhead.

It helps our team clearly layout individual projects as well as future plans.

Ability to create different projects w/ embedded tasks assigned to different users. You can edit your project to be a board or a list.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still haven’t figured out how to set my notifications correctly to help keep my brain organized and on top of my tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy to organize projects with multiple members so that everyone knows which tasks they’re assigned and when they’re due. Also nice for personal to-do lists and meeting agendas.
Huge Platform - I get a little lost
What do you like best about the product?
The sub-tasks within a task is great. From a project management standpoint, this is incredibly helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that you cannot assign sub-tasks to different people. You basically have to assign the first subtask to someone, then they assign the next subtask to someone when they are done, and so on. It's like a beach ball. To me, you have the ability to assign subtasks within one task because you may have multiple people working on one task. I wish I could assign the subtasks all at once to different people with different due dates and then the task as a whole can be assigned to the project manager (or whoever is making sure tasks are being completed) with the ultimate due date.
I am also not a huge fan of notifications within the "inbox". Communication gets lost for me a lot of times.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management - we market for automotive dealers and we have multiple categories for all our dealers and then our monthly tasks with subtasks to ensure our Facebooks ads and creative get done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a big, in-depth, platform for project management, and you have the monthly budget for it, go for it. Asana can do a lot. To me, it is more confusing than other PM platforms...like Basecamp...but it has more functions than Basecamp.
