A Week with Asana: First Impressions
What do you like best about the product?
I needed a project management tool that wouldn’t take forever to learn, so I chose Asana based on its reputation for being user-friendly. The 30-day trial was a big plus because I could test it out without paying upfront.
Honestly, it’s been a week, and I’ve managed to get a good feel for the basics along with my small team. We haven’t run into any major issues, and it's been helpful in keeping our tasks organized. I’m curious to see how much more efficient it can make us as we start to use more of its capabilities.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far I didn't recognize any cons for Asana
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have never worked with a project management software - in the time I have been using the software it helps to build projects and tasks and assigning them to my workers in a visible way that will help to streamline the work.

the possibility of organizing the delivery times of the tasks of all team members
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very expensive if you work with a large group, the price margins per member are excessive considering that not all members make the same use. Having a corporate email already charges you as a member even if the use is minimal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the company, there was no task order until I arrived implementing Asana.

I dislike Nothing all is great easy to navigate and have been using for about 8 months now

We use asana for everyday checklists, to plan out social media posts, for product stock sheets.

Asana is transforming how our ministry team works together
What do you like best about the product?
As the admin overseeing all tech at the ministry, I needed a tool that could help bring clarity and coordination to a very diverse workload—and Asana delivered. It’s flexible enough for each of our directors to manage their own portfolios while still giving our executive director visibility across the whole organization. Features like custom rules, recurring task templates, and cross-functional project linking make it easy to keep things moving. I've seen huge gains in productivity, efficiency, and peace of mind. Highly recommend!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real challenge we've faced is the learning curve when it comes to setting up teams, portfolios, and permissions in a way that works for everyone.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has been an invaluable tool for our marketing team. It helps us stay on top of tasks, collaborate more effectively, and run reports that clearly demonstrate the impact of our work. The multi-homing feature is especially helpful—it allows us to organize tasks across multiple projects without duplicating work. Asana has truly become our single source of truth, making it easy to track progress and see exactly who’s responsible for what.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that two owners could be assigned to one task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The amount of projects and to-dos going through our marketing department was overwhelming to manage. We were all working so fast that it was difficult to keep each other up to date on projects which resulted in duplicated work or balls being dropped. Asana has helped us track tasks and projects all in one place rather than on notepads, spreadsheets, emails, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how the tasks can open into it's sidebar where more info can be stored, live updates can be added, and subtasks can be added. I also really love the goals tracking and the portfolio building. It never feels clunky.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you can create portfolios in the Teams and pin them on the overview page in the team. I also wish tasks can be assigned to multiple people instead of having to add a collaborators column.

Overall communication within our team and keeping everyone up to date on progress on different tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
We use Asana across multiple departments, and it has streamlined every aspect of our workflow—from major initiatives to day-to-day task management. It’s intuitive, easy to implement, and works seamlessly across teams, making cross-functional collaboration a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search functionality could use some work. I don't always find it easy to find past projects or requests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Change management with documents. It is always easy to find the latest version of a document within Asana, especially when you are collaborating with multiple people across multiple departments.
