Good for team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it easy to organize tasks and collaborate with team members. You can easily view progress and share documents, timelines, comments, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is not always very intuitive. Tasks can get hidden depending on if you assigned them, owned them or if they were assigned to you. You have to know where to look.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing entire team projects and deliverables. It’s easy to monitor project statuses and make sure people are accountable.
Asana works best for the project managing side
What do you like best about the product?
Looking at all the tasks assigned to me in one place, with due dates and everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding the projects assigned to me takes a bunch of clicks, and then once you click on it all you see is a description and a bunch of comments and a few attached files with no sequence, but there's no context of where the task is within the project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My tasks can have a timeline, and I can prioritize which projects to work on first based upon their deadlines.
approximately good
What do you like best about the product?
Interface allowing for fast data entry / update
Very good a letting people get the pulse of what's going on right now in their project
Asana seems to be better at granular task management.
easy to use, flexible

Sub-tasks are difficult to work with
Asana sends too many emails
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is a great tool when Manager who wants to keep an eye on things. Asana is used to manage projects and tasks,. I can create various Sections for a project. Within each section, I can then create a list of tasks associated
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana sends too many emails. I don’t suffer from email overload or they simply get so many emails that a few tens of emails more won’t make a difference.
it’s very difficult to set up a repeatable project on Asana.
it’s very difficult to set up a repeatable project on Asana.
Good idea, needs to be more user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I like the idea of it and the versatility. Having everything organized in one spot and the ability to add team members to projects is great. I also like how you can assign people to tasks and decide what their role will be and how much they will be able to control in it. I always get email notifications when someone assigns something to me or comments. I like that cause that way I see the notifications but I dont have to be logged into it all of the time. I also love getting email notifications when something is getting close to a due date as well as each day that something is overdue
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be too much, and confusing. I think the platform needs to be more user friendly. The search bar doesnt pull up the results that im looking for, and i know that they are there! honestly, if it werent for the email notifications i dont know if i would ever be able to find my tasks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It sends reminders for due dates, which has solved the problem of letting things slip through the cracks!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Maybe look up some tutorials or ask other people about how to use it
Powerful but complex.
What do you like best about the product?
The collaborative aspect of its functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
How complex it is. The learning curve is fairly steep, because there is a huge degree of freedom in how you can use the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying more connected to my colleagues.
Decent and standard task manager
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is always adding new features and just recently updateddto give a cleaner UI experience. Collaboration is easy and sorting tasks and projects is a breeze
What do you dislike about the product?
Unless you pay for premium there are a lot of features missing that other tasks managers offer for free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm getting a new startup team organized and creating a reliable process to funnel tasks and projects through Asana
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start with it
Good product but requires some technical experience/expertise
What do you like best about the product?
The free section that we utilised was just as good as the paid version
What do you dislike about the product?
Not intuitive enough - needed some technical support to go live
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management - we no longer use it but one client still uses it internally
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good product but be prepared to need to learn how to use it.
Works well for large teams
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how I was able to manage a team with multiple projects. The team could check off tasks that were completed and the whole team could see what still needed to be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue I saw was that people would not go in and update their tasks. Maybe it would be good to set notification reminders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When having multiple people on one project, it was nice to keep track of the progress without having to ask each individual person.
Asana Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simple, logical interface of Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Asana makes me feel like a machine at the end of a long work week...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps with communication and oversight between minor steps in projects that otherwise might become a source of tension.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a simple project management software that focuses on transparency of workflow, look no further.
Worthwhile Tool, but a Little too Complex & Time Consuming
What do you like best about the product?
There's no doubt that most companies will need some variation of a tool like this, whether it's Asana, Monday.com, Zoho, or any other well known project management software. It's easy to breakout different sections/teams within your business- teams like Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Customer Support and so on. Also, for smaller companies it's simple to create and break out areas of responsibility for individuals, which lets others know who handles what and where you can go to find help on certain topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
The problem with a lot of project management tools is that they often require a lot of time and effort to enter individual projects, the details of those projects, tag key followers, and then to make sure the task is organized correctly. Asana has this same problem. It takes too long to navigate the tool- it's difficult to navigate, especially when a company has a dozen or more teams and then 10-20+ channels under those teams (for example a team might be "marketing" and some channels would be "Digital acquisition", "Digital retention", "TV acquisition", "brand digital", "brand offline", and so on..).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows everyone to stay connected and up to date on what everyone is working on, however it's only as good as the people who are using the tool. It takes a lot of time and effort to keep it updated and organized, as well as to manage the users who are utilizing the tool.
