I use Asana as a company task tracker and really appreciate its ease of use, which makes it very straightforward for me and my team. I also like the feature that allows creating dependencies between projects, as it lets departments work on their respective parts and integrate everything into a master project. This feature helps us assign tasks between teams and track real-time updates efficiently.

Effortless Collaboration and Organization with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana for managing my projects. What I like most about Asana is how I am able to collaborate easier, making working with my peers smoother and more organized. The templates we've been able to create in Asana are fantastic, and without them, I know I would miss key dates. I really like being able to search projects my peers have done so I can get examples of what to do myself. I also appreciate how I am able to search projects with my peers and when I post something in my own groups section, it stays organized. The templates create all the necessary sub-tasks required to get a project off the ground smoothly. It was a seamless transition for me when I started using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess how quickly it sends emails and notifies others of things added. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to complete my task or project updates and the email has already been sent to my peers - and I wasn't ready for them to see it. I think a bit more of a delay would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for managing projects, knowing timelines easily and templates make tasks smoother. It helps me collaborate and stay organized, and I can search peer projects for ideas.

Accountability has improved!
What do you like best about the product?
I value Asana for its functionality. Having previously used other tools like Workfront in a large enterprise setting and Monday.com at a smaller agency, I’ve noticed that each platform offers features tailored to different organizational needs. What sets Asana apart for me is its method of assigning responsibility: only one user is marked as accountable for completing a task, while others can be added as collaborators without being the main stakeholder. In contrast, other platforms often allow multiple people to share responsibility for a single task, which can lead to confusion. Asana’s approach has greatly minimized internal misunderstandings in my experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not especially pleased with how the views are organized. Sometimes, it's hard to review the dashboard and get a clear overview of the tasks for each project, as well as for each team as a whole. Moving quickly between tasks and their subtasks can also be tricky. Although having subtasks within subtasks might appear helpful, I've noticed that if these aren't thoroughly described, important details can be missed. This can result in tasks being overlooked, particularly when deadlines or proper assignments are missing. My main issue is that you have to assign admins to every single team or project individually in order for them to have editing permissions, which is both tedious and occasionally difficult to manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped us address our communication challenges and the absence of historical data. It’s now much simpler to refer back to previous projects when beginning a new one that’s similar. By eliminating guesswork, I no longer need to involve my team for clerical details that can be automated with templates. This allows my meetings to focus on more meaningful discussions, as I have access to the detailed information necessary for the actual project work.
Asana Streamlines Tasks and Keeps Projects Organized
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Asana streamlines my daily tasks. It allows me to keep track of everything I need to accomplish, and by organizing tasks by project, it helps prevent confusion and errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't find any drawbacks in its features, except for the fact that we have to pay for each premium update we want to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool has been a tremendous help for us in staying organized and completing tasks on time, and it makes team collaboration incredibly simple. We also appreciate how all related documents and attachments are stored within a single project, so whenever the team needs something, we can just return to the tasks and find everything we need right there.
Effortless Task Management with Timely Reminders
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Asana sends me clear notifications and pop-ups whenever a task is assigned to me, which I find extremely handy. These real-time alerts help me manage my tasks efficiently and ensure that I stay on top of my responsibilities without needing to log in constantly to check what needs to be done. This feature of delivering notifications helps me take timely actions rather than waiting or forgetting tasks, especially when I'm busy. Additionally, I like the intuitive setup of Asana, which allows for easy task allocation among team members. It was straightforward to start using Asana without requiring formal training. The software is intuitive enough for the team to learn and explore its various functionalities and features independently. I also love how Asana helps in merging action items into broader projects and organizes them efficiently, reducing my need to set up meetings as I can keep track of everything through the platform itself. I am particularly impressed with the way it helps me release bandwidth by simplifying actions and reviews without extra meetings, and how it gives a good control over security features, allowing me to decide who can see specific actions. Overall, I am very satisfied with Asana's performance and usability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Asana could be improved by offering a clearer and more structured project plan and timeline feature. It would be beneficial to have some sort of project matrices or a project status dashboard that provides a clear snapshot of all activities and projects, where they stand, and my overall performance. This could be integrated into their current system, perhaps delivered through email or notification models, to help me better manage and track progress without needing to log in and check manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to track and remind my team and me of actions and activities, ensuring timely completion and nothing is missed. It reduces meeting time by providing easy updates and aids in reviewing project statuses and deliverables.
Effortless Task Management with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana's infinite level of sub-tasking, which allows me to break down big tasks further and further. This feature is incredibly beneficial because if a task initially, or even during execution, seems too big, it is very easy to break the task into further sub-tasks and handle them independently. The initial setup of Asana was very easy for me, which made transitioning to using the platform smooth and without hassle. I am confident in recommending Asana to others, as reflected in my high likelihood (a score of 10) of doing so.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it inconvenient that sub-tasks in Asana don't automatically become part of the same project as their parent task. Each time I create a sub-task, I have to manually assign it to the project which feels repetitive and time-consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to break down projects into tasks, assign due dates, and separate projects into workspaces, allowing infinite sub-tasking for handling tasks independently.
