Review of Asana for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Asana as our primary project management tool, and it has truly transformed the way we organize and track our work. Its clean, intuitive interface makes it easy for team members at all levels to stay aligned on tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities.
One of the biggest strengths of Asana is its flexibility. Whether we’re managing complex architectural projects or handling day-to-day administrative tasks, Asana allows us to create custom workflows that suit each project's specific needs. The ability to view tasks in different formats—like lists, boards, calendars, or timelines—is especially useful for visualizing progress and adjusting priorities.
Collaboration has also improved significantly. Team members can comment directly on tasks, attach files, and update statuses in real time, which keeps communication streamlined and centralized. Notifications and reminders ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.
We also appreciate the individual calendars and workload views, which help us balance responsibilities across the team and keep everyone accountable without micromanaging.
Overall, Asana has become an indispensable tool in our workflow. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and continually improving with new features that help us stay productive and focused.

What do you dislike about the product?
everything is fine. I really dont have any bad thinks to say about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of visibility into project progress: Before Asana, it was difficult to get a clear, real-time view of where projects stood. Now, we can easily track task status, deadlines, and responsibilities across multiple teams and projects in one place.
Scattered communication: Asana centralizes all project-related communication. Instead of digging through emails or messages, we have task-specific conversations, attachments, and updates all organized within each project.
Missed deadlines and unclear priorities: With Asana’s timelines, due dates, and priority settings, our team stays on track. It sends timely reminders and highlights overdue or upcoming tasks, which helps us stay proactive rather than reactive.
Lack of accountability: Assigning tasks to individuals with clear deadlines has greatly improved accountability. Everyone knows exactly what they’re responsible for, and nothing gets overlooked.
Difficulty managing complex workflows: Asana’s customizable structure—using lists, boards, or calendars—makes it easier to manage everything from simple to complex projects. We can also automate repetitive tasks, saving us time and reducing human error.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Asana is how easy it makes it to stay organized and keep everyone on the same page. The interface is clean and intuitive, so even if you're new to it, it doesn’t take long to get comfortable. I love being able to switch between list, board, and calendar views depending on what I’m working on, and the ability to set up automations for repetitive tasks is a real time-saver. It also makes team collaboration seamless—you can leave comments, assign tasks, set deadlines, and everything stays in one place. Plus, it integrates with all the other tools we use, which just makes life easier.

Powerful, Customizable, and Clean
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a powerful tool that makes cross-functional collaboration much easier. With a clean, sleek UI and high level of customization available, you can set up Asana in a way that works best for you and your team. I'm still discovering all the automations and customizations you can make, but even the simple mechanisms I've used such as project templates and dynamically-assigned project roles have saved me time. Our team used to work out of a mixture of Airtable and and shared Google Drive, which led to a disjointed process where not everything was visible to everyone and it was hard to find things. Asana keeps us organized and is great for templatizing repeatable processes. Asana is highly malleable and has numerous useful integrations. Our marketing team uses it every day to track and manage everything from small requests to meeting agendas to large-scale projects. We've had no issues and have not had to contact support about anything after using for several months.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana, like any tool, is only as useful as you set it up to be. Because of how customizable Asana is, the way you set it up and maintain it makes all the difference in your experience. If you set it up in a way that is confusing, it can seem overwhelming. When implementing Asana, I recommend having a dedicated project manager who takes the time to set everything up in a way that is usable and easy to maintain. As with any powerful tool with customization, there's a bit of a learning curve. However, once you have everything set up and get into a regular pattern of working in the tool, it's very easy to use. The notifications settings as they come out of the box can be overwhelming, but you can always turn them off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our marketing team has our OKRs housed in Asana, and we work primarily off of projects tied to each goal and subgoal. Asana has helped us keep track of our OKRs in a way that previously was difficult to do in Google Drive and Airtable. With Asana, we have visibility into what other parts of the marketing team are doing and how each team's goals fit into the larger business objective.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy way to keep up to date on tasks and make sure you and your team are aligned with the progress of your projects. Using it to go through a project at the beginning as a team assigning roles and then allowing everyone the agency to complete their own tasks and then wrap up as a team to make sure everything was done together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Clearing certain taks so that they disappear without having to delete them
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't feel like I have yet run into any issues with the use of Asana
