Asana helps my team get our work done!

  • February 15, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows for amazing sharing of task lists, files, processes, and organizes a team's work load virtually. You almost never have to have meetings!
What do you dislike about the product?
Only complaint is the overdue task emails!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We avoid having to meet because we can see what people are completing, and can move projects along virtually in a seamless way. We can keep our process lists and tasks in one place which helps a ton when we get new employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is worth a little effort in learning the bells and whistles. It will save you and your team a ton of time. So you have more time to produce and less time spent talking about tasks.

Great Tool for Project Management

  • February 09, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the collaborative portion of Asana. You are able to communicate with project contributors with questions/details of the project, updates on the status of a project and more. The due date feature is also helpful for time management and delegation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a week at a glance view versus the full month view. This would help even more with time management and project preparation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving project delegation issues, saving time from multiple emails back and forth and keeping on top of projects thanks to due date reminders and notifications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great resource available for designers, teams and more. The free price point can't be beat as well. Collaboration is a key benefit to this tool.

Great for organization!

What do you like best about the product?
I use it at home for a personal to do list, but I often use it for work for certain projects to keep track of what I've been doing internally for that specific project. Nice to keep it on mobile but if you're going for the computer I believe it's only 4.99 on the App Store. It's an overall great tool to use for any business!
What do you dislike about the product?
How un-customizable it is. There's nothing I would change in terms of the coding or anything, it runs great, I just would change the price and just the way it looks. Maybe on mobile put in notifications to remind you of things that you forgot or just as a general thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps me on track in both ways of knowing what projects I need to do but also what projects need to be done in terms of the actual project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out for free on mobile first, look at other softwares especially, and just try to explore all kinds of options just to make sure Asana is the perfect choice for your company!

Great Tool For Task Management

  • February 06, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of integrations between Asana and other tools that are pretty slick. The ability to collaborate on tasks with other co-workers is definitely a game changer. Most importantly, being able to turn on the feature where a unicorn randomly races across the screen when you complete a task is the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major complaints - the one part of the interface I don't like is that if a sub-task of a parent task is assigned to you, you can't see what the parent task is as a default, which can make it a little unclear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross collaboration between teams has been very helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Really make sure you have buy-in pre-implementation. Adoption was pretty spotty overall after the initial launch.

Asana

What do you like best about the product?
I used this for a short period of time to work for a small business, and it was helpful to be able to have someone direct me by giving me specific tasks I could check off and mark as being done. It worked well as a way to organize and prioritize responsibilies by date and time it was due. I also liked the feature where I could chat about specific tasks assigned to me and send pictures within the chat box.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, sometimes the lay out is overwhelming if you look at it wholistically and you aren't concentrating on just your tasks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used this tool to do various tasks for a small business , and communicate directly with the person I worked for. Mostly I used Asana to help organize what I had accomplished and what I still had to complete based on priority/time due and check off completed tasks. My job was remote so it was important that I stayed organized online and communicated about tasks that I had completed or needed help with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good tool for small or large companies that want a way to efficiently organize tasks by employee and want a fluid way to communicate. The chat element of this tool makes it easy to communicate/clarify directions and provides reminders for a user about important tasks that have priority based on due date.

What do you like best about the product?
A major plus is the simplicity and minimalist design.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, it runs great, looks great, and is great in general
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tasking for sure. whether is assigning someone to a task or setting a goal for the team it’s useful all around.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Minimalist Design and easy to invite everyone on your team/in your business

Asana is a great tool to increase team communication and team collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana allows for me to assign tasks to my team members with due dates. This keeps my team organized and in the know.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that asana is sensitive to clicks. I find my self accidentally adding blank tasks form pushing enter on my keyboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Asana there was a lot of miscommunication within my team. Some team members were unsure of who was doing which tasks and we sometimes had two members working on the exact same task. Asana has helped make task assignments clear to team members.

My Asana Review

  • January 31, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the share-ability within the entire company. Everyone has access to what's being worked on and timelines for when things should be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no reminder when a due date is approaching or past. Also anyone can mark a task as complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Logging bugs and support requests. The "keepers" of the bugs do a great job prioritizing and communicating within the tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Organization within is key and delegating responsibility helps keep the minimize clutter within Asana.

A really neat office

What do you like best about the product?
I love having all the tasks assigned to me on one page, and also seeing the progress that we propose as a team is really incredible
What do you dislike about the product?
Although I think it has many good things, the first impression is of a quite complicated and difficult to use platform. I think they could improve that aspect
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have ALL the office organized with this page. Everyone has access to the department of which he is a part and the projects in which he participates, we see who ends things on time and who does not. We also help those who need a hand with some issue
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Before you get scared by how it looks, read a little about the page. It is really simple to use and solves many problems

Straight Forward Task Management Software

  • January 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The subtask function is incredibly useful and keeps the interface clean and organized. I also like that my team members can assign themselves tasks to keep track of productivity. The Google Drive integration is also helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer to be able to assign tasks to multiple people rather than just duplicating tasks. Completed tasks should move to their own "completed" section when checked off, but instead they just grey out. I add my own completed column and move them manually. Being able to organize projects into folders would also be helpful. As of now you can search for tasks assigned to a specific person, but you have to do so every time. You can't save a shortcut or anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long term task management. I'm implementing this system with my team in order to organize quarterly goals which are often forgotten about until just before they're due. It allows me to assign tasks, pitch ideas, comment, share, and track productivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For cheap to free group task management software it works well and has a lot of features. It's definitely not JIRA but it's a good lite option.
