How easy it is to use and communicate with my colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the tags that showed up in the team board showed up in my tasks so I could see the task status without clicking into it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easy to keep projects on track and collaborate with other stakeholders.

Balances flexibility with structure; accommodates different users' preferred ways of working

What do you like best about the product?
I have managed a wide variety of projects across a career that spans more than 3 decades; technology integration, software development, Six Sigma, etc. I have never adopted a project management solution as quickly as Asana. It is soooo good I can use it in multiple settings. And I find it incredibly easy to use well.
Asana offers multiple ways to visualize and manage the same basic data; tasks lists, Kanban cards, Gantt charts, etc.
Asana allows me to simultaneously manage simple projects (for myself or a few contributors) and complex projects (with multiple contributors and sub-tasks or matrixed projects).
It also offers very helpful customizable dashboard with kpi and goal tracking for leaders who want to see a status without diving into the weeds.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with all solutions, garbage in, garbage out. Some people are not motivated to organize information and maintain its accuracy. Asana relies upon a lot of manual data entry and maintenance. It's not an "automation" or "behavioral management" tool. You have to care about what goes in to get the best results. Asana might be more useful to mid-level managers by incorporating more features to manage a team of project managers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Asana in different roles. I currently use it as an independent consultant, but I have also used it as a corporate director with a globally distributed team. I currently use Asana to grow my business by helping me track my business development / sales pipeline. It is also where I simultaneously manage projects for multiple clients. I can also add different accounts to set-up projects for my clients that they help maintain without adding them to my own organization.

Asana is excellent for our organization's efficiency

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has been a game changer for our team. Tasks are delegated easier, workstreams are more visible, and overall organization has hit a new level. Our team is MUCH more productive now that Asana is completely adopted.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, I have trouble finding a task or project. Not sure if that's an Asana issue or user-issue, however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us maintain organization, moves tasks forward, allows others to see if/when there is a snag, helps us problem solve better. Have also really enjoyed the ability to use AI to give project updates.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has completely transformed how I manage projects, collaborate with teams, and stay organized. From day one, its intuitive interface made it easy to create tasks, organize them into projects, assign responsibilities, and track progress—all in one place. The way Asana breaks down complex goals into manageable parts helps create clarity and momentum across teams of any size.

The features are thoughtfully designed: timelines for visual project planning, boards for agile task tracking, workload management for team balance, and robust automation that reduces manual work. Integrations with Slack, Google Drive, Zoom, and many other tools make it a central hub for productivity. Even small touches like recurring tasks, custom fields, and rule-based automations reflect Asana’s commitment to making work seamless and scalable.

What truly sets Asana apart is how it blends power with simplicity—powerful enough for enterprise needs, yet simple enough for individual use. Whether you're managing a product launch, marketing campaign, or internal operations, Asana adapts beautifully to your workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there’s nothing I dislike about Asana. Every need I've had has been thoughtfully addressed by its features, and the frequent updates keep making the platform better. It’s rare to find a tool that feels this complete and reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps organizations operate with more structure, speed, and strategic alignment—reducing chaos, increasing output, and empowering teams to focus on what matters most.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana daily for my scientific research task with my lab. We have all of our research projects and lab management projects in here, and we can easily collaborate within projects. I like that I am able to see all my tasks within a project in a calendar view which is great for record-keeping as well as for organization. I also like that we can assign each other tasks, respond to tasks, and organize tasks that are dependent on each other.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful thing about Asana is its messaging features. We always struggle with finding messages, sending messages, and organizing messages. Sometimes we use other tools for messaging because Asana still needs to improve this feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping digitalize calendars/planners and project management within teams (and for individuals as well).
