Project management with our Design Team
What do you like best about the product?
The organization is imperative for us to stay on track. Visibly, we are able to see all design products by department and I can easily manage and give feedback that I know the design team receives. It is built for collaboration and moving projects forward seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the process for adding a new project. Sometimes I think the project has been added to the queue, but if I don't assign it I lose it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to move from email communication about design projects to full on collaboration and execution through the Asana portal. Additionally, the mobility is important because I can review and edit on the go.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We are using the free version and it meets our needs for simple collaboration.
The best tool we use at our company to organize our projects and tasks
What do you like best about the product?
It's very helpful to organize projects within the team.
I really like that you can assign a task to someone, set a due date and time (which is very helpful for me because I often need to do some tasks at an specific time of the day).
The search tool works very well, because it allows me to see whether the task I'm looking for, is completed or not, without having to go to the task.
I think the emails I get when I'm a follower of a task or project, regarding any changes or once a task is completed, are very helpful to keep tracking the projects even if I haven't check Asana yet. (e.g. if I'm on vacation and just check the email from time to time during my days-of, etc.)
I love the integrations with Gmail and Slack.. It is super helpful (at least for me) because I can create tasks from comments or emails I receive, as well as add those comments directly to the task of my preference. I use it a lot!

What do you dislike about the product?
It uses to log out automatically very often and also almost every day asks me to refresh the page due to a new version. It would be better if it automatically updates itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tasks management and follow up on the projects of the company or teams
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a very easy to use tool. I really like it
I introduce this tool to every workplace I join
What do you like best about the product?
The detail and accountability! Clean UI but the granular tracking is amazing, assign subtasks and due dates while maintaining a easy to follow to-do list. Not you average checklist.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could use more templates, creating custom templates can become daunting. Can be confusing tagging tasks to other projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being in marketing and juggling so many projects, it really helps me keep a clear view of all of my projects, tasks, and sub tasks. Being able to apply due dates to subtasks is amazing. Also cuts back on email use with tagging other members in projects, tasks, and comments. Keeps everyone accountable and updated on project progress. I was introduced to Asana during a college internship and I’ve carried it with me to every workplace I’ve been, they’ve all thanked me for introducing them to it.
Unfortunately, my current workplace uses Microsoft Planner but I miss Asana so much!

Asana
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is the ability to add hidden comments within a subtask. It helps keep tasks from getting cluttered and lost. I love being able to create a task using voice text - which is convenient for a job that involves client interaction.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Asana is how subtasks are displayed. It does make tasks cluttered and overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems my team is solving with Asana is the ability to manage projects with multiple team members under one task.
The Most Valuable Tool To Get Things Done
What do you like best about the product?
I am a huge fan of Asana. There is so much functionality that you can use it no matter what type of project management approach you like. I love being able to put tasks into a timeline and linking them with dependencies. It keeps my marketing program build-out humming along. I also use the task list and send all emails that need attention to my Asana task list. Keeps me totally organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot coming out and to learn. Sometimes hard to keep on top of it all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personal organization with My Tasks.
Able to keep on top of marketing projects. When people are stuck, we come up with the big rocks and fill those with small rocks (tasks). We are then able to put them into an estimated timeline.

I can't really see any downside because it has all the features we need.

What do you like best about the product?
It really has been such a game-changer in how we're able to track the progress of multiple tasks simultaneously. The functionality has brought a newfound organization to our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be difficult to navigate at times, but I think that's more down to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our roles are very cyclical in nature, so there are different tasks for different times of the year. Asana helps in keeping them all on task and bringing them to completion.
Great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
The layout is very easy to understand. The platform itself is very useful. The ability to comment on tasks and tag people in them is one of the best parts. It makes it easy to update everyone with the progress. The mobile app is also a very great part of Asana. The ability to get push notifications and other alerts when someone assigns you something is great. You can also respond to comments or requests either directly from your phone or by email.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels like there are almost too many features--useful for some people, but it could feel overwhelming at first. The UI can also be a bit clunky at times. This is not a major issue (and can be useful for some people).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Asana to help manage peoples day-to-day and long term projects and tasks. We saw a lot of a benefits and increased productivity with everyone using it. They were able to manage everything far more efficient. It also cleared up a lot of confusion in our company. Prior to using Asana, there was a lot of confusion on people's roles, but using Asana really cleared that up for everyone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn all of the features first before fully implementing. It does a lot of things and can get confusing at first. Play around with all the different types of layouts and customizations. There isn't just one cookie-cutter one-size-fits-all approach for every company.
Great experience, would recommend as a great project management application
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity and ease of use is phenomenal! Easy to understand and use internal use with other business units.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to not like. I would say the interface could use a good refresh or some liveliness as it comes to graphics or something to customize the experience better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing internal projects as it comes to being able to measure deliverables.
