An amazing tool for project management

  • October 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is easily the best tool I've ever used for project management and staying on top of tasks. It can be as in-depth and complex or as simple and easy as you want it to be. The wide range of project templates give you a lot of flexibility for managing your work the way you need to, and the various views and plenty of customizable options let you track things however you'd like. Overall, it's a great tool for working with teams or even keeping track of your own tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana can be a little overwhelming when you first start using it. Before I used Asana, I used another project management took that overall looked more user friendly and was easier to get started. It's possible that I missed training videos or manuals for Asana, but streamlining the getting started process and possible sending tips or training videos via email would strengthen the user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana as part of a small (5 people) marketing team. Before we started using Asana, we kept track of everything in our heads. Tasks constantly fell through the cracks and we constantly felt behind. Through Asana, our team has been able to consistently track and manage projects in an easy way that helps all of us stay on top of things!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's worth it! Even if it seems a little daunting to get started, go for it. It's well worth your time, and will save you countless hours down the road.

The best for managing workflow and times

  • October 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The possibility to manage your own workload and others. It gives visibility of "The big picture" to you and your superiors. Things that are not clear for them such as amount of work, times and priorities. The communication improved a lot since we started usin asana. For me, the real value lays in being able to organize my everyday tasks and tag them in different projects. The calendar visibility is one of it's best tools, you can drag and drop as needed any task you are working on, making it easy to change the date of a task. We tried with many different softwares before: Basecamp, Trello, etc; but none of them were as full and satisfying. Features like time tracking, customizable permissions, risk management, team collaboration and much more.
What do you dislike about the product?
You are not able to assign tasks and tag them in other boards without appearing on them. This was the most problematic tool to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Times and workload are much more visible. Good organization.Conectivity with other applications and softwares.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Free trial is a good way to know if Asana is for you. Use it during a week and you'll see the value of it.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, really accessible for remote workers and the perfect project management tool. You can assign/delegate tasks and keep the ball rolling.
What do you dislike about the product?
My least favorite feature is that when a task is completed it disappears from everyone's view and you have to search for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall I think this is a great platform to use to track team progress.

Asana Review

What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy user experience of the application
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the fact that you were able to continuously push agenda items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The only problems that I'm having with Asana is that the desktop version tends to log you out when you are idle for too long.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to hold yourself accountable to your deadline as it easy to manipulate and push your set deadlines.

Organization at it's finest.

What do you like best about the product?
I like most about Asana is that I can organize WITH people on my team. There are plenty of platforms for your own personal organization and task makers but few do it well at a whole team basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not anything I really dislike about Asana. They keep updating and each update is truly improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying on task as a team and it solve accountability issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it just to stay on task and to have all your tasks in ONE AREA!!!!

Keeps our small business organized!

  • October 10, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to assign tasks to specific team members, track progress, and add comments
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be more features for the Premium version, such as proofing. The amount of email they send you is also overbearing. Make sure you customize your email preferences otherwise you get bombarded!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to create and track progress on different projects. The best part is that we can communicate via the portal to update each other and shift timelines if needed.

Fan of Asana

What do you like best about the product?
I find Asana to be the best tool for project management, as it encourages attaching a date to every task & assigning clear responsibility. :). I like that you can use the Kanban board but there is a strong primary view , that’s list oriented. I like the free layer for personal/small team use. I like the options for sub tasks/tasks/sections/projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the groups vs projects inviting is confusing. The way sub tasks behave differently from tasks (including in reminders, daily schedule, when you @ someone - as I recall) can be confusing. I wish you could drag/drop the order of tasks within a section , & I wish you could drag/drop the order of tasks due the same day within the view by date. I wish you could schedule not just a start/end tune, but as a different way of organizing, an “estimated time” to complete (and have it sum for the day), so that if for o e day, I have 2 projects estimated 4 hours each and 12 at 30 minutes each, I see what that would add up to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping remote teams in synch. Providing a system for team members to take responsibility for planning their own schedule based on their goals, with managers able to check. Preventing things from falling between the cracks. Allowing colleagues to check on progress in an asynchronous way, without disturbing the others.

An excellent tool for project management!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it a delightful experience to work with. It's easy to create new projects and tasks. It also supports a very flexible and robust mobile app which has full features of the app. It unifies all my ideas, project deadlines, thoughts, notes and etc. I love the advanced search feature the most. Considering the fact that it tracks absolutely everything, it's hard to get overwhelmed with too much information, so a search which has all the necessary filters comes in very handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to have an option to switch on/off Kanban board. You can only choose it during the creation of the project. Repeating tasks is also a hassle to set up and I've had problem with it. Also completed tasks don't disappear from inbox automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping everyone in my company to stay organized. It's easy to set up and start working with it and once you do, you can't go back. It has an awesome interface and when you finish a day and all the daily tasks - it's a very satisfying feeling. The workflow is super intuitive. The flow matches that of my thought process and it works really fast. I've even started using it with two seperate accounts to help with my personal life as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I know this sounds cliche but Asana definitely changed my life. It has made it enjoyable to manage projects and has greatly enhanced my workflow. Try it out and see it for yourself!
