Great for personal use - if you don't mind the upkeep
What do you like best about the product?
It is nice to have a place online that will keep track of all the tasks that I create. I also like the amount of detail I can include on each task, including dates and times.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is having to create the task and input all the information. With the amount of work I have, it feels bad to have to carve out time to create all the content within Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana does help to keep all of my tasks right in front of me. It is great because I won't forget to do a task if I have created it and assigned the proper details.
Asana provides a great platform for digital savvy users providing easy adaptability
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly application environment with a flair is the number one feature.
Strong platform which accepts multiple media options provides convenient project delivery for planning.

What do you dislike about the product?
The gap is the least space for templates selection for planning.
Asana does not improve towards enterprise level with its limited capacity to corporate and collaborate for large number of users.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana provides great platform for corporate leadership within the environment to project planning. The platform deliver agile methods in planning and also easy navigation throughout the software.
Asana is a great tool for many teams, but my team doesn't fit their ideal use case
What do you like best about the product?
Asana allows our distributed team to communicate in a seamless manner and pass work off from one individual to another. It's easy to see how much progress was made on a given task or who is currently working on it. We've also created projects for a variety of workflows and customized them as best we could to suit our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems like Asana's focuse lately from a PR/account management standpoint has been around Goals and rolling everything up into Goals. It also feels like they've stopped launching any new features that don't support goals in some way.
Even when new features are announced that would benefit our team (I'm an Asana ambassador so I get these notifications regularly), it can take months for a full rollout to all Asana accounts so that teams can start using them. And certain features that sound like they could be really useful (i.e. triggered subtasks) are lacking functionality that would allow us to incorporate them into our workflows (i.e. can't create dependencies with triggered subtasks).

We have team members who work all around the country and across time zones. Asana allows us to hand work off to team members regardless of location.
Senior Project Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Creates 1 place to store all project info, tasks, schedule, messages, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The scheduling/timeline capabilities are awful. I work in advertising. If you have a campaign/project that spans months, it's a nightmare to move tasks around. Everything has to be updated manually, tasks are assigned by day instead of by length of duration and dependencies. This is a huge waste of time when you consider how companies like Smartsheets allow you to make a schedule/timeline throughout the duration of the entire project as dates change. Additionally the Inbox, should have more capabilities for organization. Allow messages to be unread, read or archived makes it hard to organize messages in your inbox.

Centralizes information for projects
Asana is a great program to use for any size buisness
What do you like best about the product?
We like that you are able to have different teams but then also limit that projects within that team with certain members. We like the ability to create rules and have various different types of projects (accounting projects, marketing, inventory)
What do you dislike about the product?
The way rules can be made is limiting and how they transfer from project to project. It would be great if the info from one project didn't transfer to another project once the line was copied, moved, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is elimanting our need for multiple emails, is solving communication problems by having a clear outline of where you are in a project and is making that information public to everyone that needs to be involved.

Former User, But No Complaints
What do you like best about the product?
I like the organization and UI that Asana provides. I believe that Asana is a great tool for small, in-house teams that require an easy-to-use project management platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my context in an agency, Asana was unable to provide enough customization to where it was usable for us. We have over 300 clients that need access to their projects, and we found that many people within one Asana platform too many.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana excelled at what it claims to do. Using Asana in a smaller context with an in-house team seems to be Asana's sweet spot. It is also easy enough to use that any user should have no problem.
Decent tool for task management
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility that it provides to create stages and assign them to various people. It helps us achieve what we expect to do at Asana. Good way to manage projects and tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I particularly dislike the UX, the dashboard sometimes gets too heavy to load and there are no automated ways to change the status of tasks in bulk. I would really appreciate it if these features were added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us manage tasks with multiple steps and multiple stakeholders need to collaborate and accomplish the task in a timely manner.
Very professional
What do you like best about the product?
The way all is organized is very useful
What do you dislike about the product?
The invox and message sections could be better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helped me to organize multiple project in diffeeent field with different colleagues
Asana team switching to Notion
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is fully featured in terms of task management and a really powerful way to hit the ground running on projects and who's doing what.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI greatly restricts the tool to managing tasks. While it's sleek and very powerful, it's a bit hard to grasp how things can interrelate with notes or documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helped keep multiple, concurrent projects in check - helped team leaders understand where we were in terms of progress on any project - and helped us begin to put stuff all in one, cloud-based place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you relate it with other applications to give you the full, comprehensive experience for project management purposes. Slack integration is amazing, for instance!
