A reliable tool for managing projects and team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it very easy to keep track of tasks and deadlines. The interface is clean and user friendly, so assigning tasks and monitoring progress is smooth. I like that it integrates well with tools like Slack and Google Drive, which saves time. The timeline and Gantt chart features are very useful for project managers, they help in visualising the entire workflow clearly.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I first started using Asana, there was no clear introduction or walkthrough about how to use it or how to toggle between different projects, which made the learning curve a bit tricky. It does get simpler with time, but some onboarding guidance would really help new users. Another thing that bothers me is the notifications—when someone comments on ongoing projects, I get alerts on the app (which is fine), but I also get duplicate notifications in Gmail, which feels unnecessary and a bit annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me manage multiple projects at once without losing track of deadlines. It reduces confusion in communication and ensures that everyone knows their responsibilities. The Gantt charts and task assignments give me a clear picture of the project flow, and overall it saves time, improves accountability, and makes teamwork more efficient.
Asana has been an excellent tool for managing multiple projects.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is that it helps keep me organized while managing multiple projects at the same time. It’s very user-friendly, allowing me to easily track many tasks within each project, organize projects into folders, and seamlessly share them with my manager and colleagues. user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I’ve noticed is receiving too many notifications at times, but it’s a small issue compared to the overall benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me manage the complexity of working on multiple projects at once, such as training programs, building new training, and onboarding several employees at the same time. It keeps me on track with every project and task I’m responsible for, and makes it easy to update progress by layering tasks into weeks, highlighting milestones, and using dependencies. I also benefit from being able to assign tasks to others and share projects, which keeps everyone accountable and aligned.
A Standard for Connecting High-Level Strategy to Daily Execution
What do you like best about the product?
I like its flexibility and its focus on strategic alignment. The ability to switch between Board, List, and Timeline views allows everyone on the team to work how they prefer, which is great for adoption. For management, Portfolios provide an instant, high-level overview of project health, and the automation rules are a huge time-saver for repetitive tasks. It's one of the best tool I've used for keeping high-level goals and daily work in a single place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawbacks are the steep learning curve for its more advanced features and the fact that the most powerful tools, like Portfolios and advanced reporting, are locked behind the more expensive paid plans. New users can also find the volume of notifications overwhelming until they learn to customize their settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solved our biggest problems with fragmented work and a lack of clear accountability. It consolidated our scattered project information from emails and spreadsheets into a single source of truth, saving our team significant time. By assigning a clear owner and due date to every task, it ensures nothing falls through the cracks. For leadership, it provides real-time visibility into project progress, allowing for faster, more informed decisions.

Sometime Asana get slow when project are very large. Also, some advanced features are only in the paid version, which can be limiting for small team.

Asana is FANTASTIC for small remote businesses that need a way to more effectively communicate
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can customize projects for our company's needs. We are a small non-profit that deals with education grants. We are just starting to use Asana in our work and I love how Asana allows us to take in relevant information and data through the use of the forms, organize it in fields so it can be seen at a glance, automate tasks, and then communicate with all of the collaborators in the different parts of our organization. It's a timesaver AND a sanity saver. No more lost communications through emails and chat messages. Everything we need to plan and execute our services is in one place! Even the less-tech savvy members of the team are embracing the ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything yet that I dislike about Asana itself, but many of the video tutorials and examples that are given on the Help page are focused around traditional business models and functions (sales). Our business deals somewhat with financial aspects, but more with managing students and programs. I have to think very deeply and be creative to imagine the ways I can best use Asana in my work because the use-case examples that are provided don't often fit the work I do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of my work is completed remotely working with a team that is tasked with delivering services to students in rural areas. We have to keep track of content that needs to be delivered in a consistent manner, keep track of the needs/wants of the individual schools we work with, and keep track of individual conversations we have with each student we work with. All-the-while the team needs to communicate to plan large multi-school services, collaborate to create new workshop-type services to deliver to the students, and share data that must be entered into our database to report our work for the grant. There are many moving parts to this grant, and Asana is helping to streamline this work. Because we are new to Asana, I am envisioning how to set up projects to house all of the pertinent information, and I am coming up with some pretty brilliant ways to use the platform to creatively represent and manage the information, if I do say so, myself! Our methods of communication around this work has transformed and we are much more efficient and effective carrying out our daily tasks. Asana has been a gamechanger already and we are just dipping our toe in the pool. I can't wait to see what happens when everyone is on board and proficient working on the platform!
I am still in the process of learning Asana to the fullest, but already love the tools I see.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the intentionality of the tools. You can tell lots of thought have been put into each aspect of the application.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is pretty cumbersome to start. The training videos are helpful, but it takes a lot of time to actually get to a point where you feel like you can use it effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves collaborative project confusion. It allows us to work together more smoothly.
An exceptional and completely malleable platform to fit whatever type of organization need you have!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana's layout is highly engaging and interactive with many features such as automations, fields that populate directly into your project from created request forms, and an insane amount of reporting ability at multiple levels of a workflow. It also integrates with a TON of outside platforms that companies utilize on a regular basis, allowing everything to flow into one place for your various teams and clients. Once you go through the trainings and get the hang of it, I think it's very easy to implement into our workflow! I use it every day, multiple times a day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumping into the platform, some of it is very intuitive and some of it isn't. When you try to automate, and things go wonky... it can be very confusing. BUT- that said, Asana has some of the best FREE trainings I've ever seen in other platforms. They do live trainings that you can schedule around your workday as well as numerous video recordings and even a CERTIFICATION PROGRAM!!!! I feel like this more than makes up from any difficulty learning the platform. (I should have started there first.) :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our boutique digital marketing agency is scaling up and growing quickly. We needed strong organization and centralization for multiple team's workflows and communication. Asana is the perfect fit! We are rolling it out company-wide and are excited for where Asana will help us grow in the future.
Turning Chaos into Calm with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a robust project management tool. It is extremely customizable, which I love, and it is fully integratabtle with our other software needs at the moment. I am in the beginning stages of setting up our agency for success but I have high hopes that this software will do a lot of the heavy lifting in reporting. I’m looking forward to implementing rules and automations as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Asana is how customizable it is. This can be overwhelming during the learning curve stages. However, it is ultimately a positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is creating one space for collaboration and communication while keeping our projects separate and visually easier to digest. Asana solves the reporting issue we were having with previous software. This not only benefits me as an administrator, it also benefits our team to review their progress as well as our clients so they may also see specific progress being made for their accounts without needing to call anyone or worry about where their money is going.
