Asana - Excellent project and program management tool!
What do you like best about the product?
1) The ability to manage projects and programs with the ability to pull real time dashboards based on project tasks and fields that are fully customizable.
2) The collaboration in Asana and ability to create custom rules and templates are key drivers for us adopting and continuing to use Asana.
3) Very intuitive, user friendly and this helps to onboard new users and drive adoption of Asana.
4) Asana has allowed us to move away from homing project info accross multiple platforms to having one source of truth. This has allowed us to have more visibility on work being done and helped us become more effective and efficient in project and program management.

What do you dislike about the product?
1) For advanced insights into projects and programs, there is more that can be done.
Example 1: Doesn't allow for more complex numerical fields to be created unfortunately. For example, when rolling up hours spent accross a teams projects, we cannot add a calculation to calculate time spent per program or project manager. You can create formulas using fields and not custom inputs. There is an opportunity for this type of development to enhance the dashboards function.
2) Also sometimes there are minor functions that can be set up better.
Example 2: The date field is called "due date" even though you can add a start date in this field.
Also you are automatically directed to enter a due date and have to remember to click and add the start date as an additional step.
Overall the date field is not optimal which it should be as start dates are super important.
That being said, this is minor and can be worked with. Hope it can be improved in future.
Like any tool there is room for enhancement and improvements.

Collaboration, capacity planning, program and project management
I tell everyone to use Asana
What do you like best about the product?
As part of a small team that works remotely, creating workflows is crucial. Asana helps us stay organized and on track, and also helps if someone else needs to step in to take a project over the finish line in the case of another team member's absence. It's super easy to use and customize to our needs.
I tell all of my professional colleagues to use Asana.
I tell all of my professional colleagues to use Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
It definitely involves taking some time to learn the platform, and works best only when the entire team buys in and uses it. However, taking that time is totally worth it because it increases efficiency in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps our remote staff collaborate efficiently and stay on task. By switching to Asana we've been able to eliminate all internal email communications, onboard new team members, and bring huge projects over the finish line that normally wouldn't be accomplished by a small staff.
Intuitive and Easy To Use
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is so easy to use - you can jump right in and have a really organized to do list or project with very little effort. I was looking for a personal project tool and tried several before I landed on Asana and it was a breath of fresh air to just jump in and not have to read how to documents to get started!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm now using Asana for work, and it gets really busy, really quickly. That's probably more to do with how much I have going on, but I need a better way to manage my lists and projects so I don't miss things that aren't due today, but will take several days to complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps keep our whole team moving on the same direction, and helps us get projects over the finish line with less meetings, emails, and random messages that ultimately get lost.
Asana- Taking the hard work our of managing projects
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to manage and delegate tasks to all types of groups within my organization. This is our main way of assigning tasks out and tracking completion.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the basic version of Asana to have more variety when it comes to creating rules. It seems the current rules are not very applicable to my every day tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is solving the problem of trying to make Project Management of a very unique organization much easier. Before Asana, we only had Outlook tasks which somewhat did the job, but there were more cons than pros.
These workshops are very helpful.
What do you like best about the product?
It's amazing to keep a track of every task and project that is present, past, present, future. Thanks Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. :) The tarinings make Asana tool really viable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like I said, it's a detailed system and it makes task tracking/ project tracking really easy.
Asana with training included
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great tool for when some designers work from home and need to manage other employees. It is a great way to keep track of deadlines and communicate with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can think of is the notifications, but these are customizable. I wish it would send me an email when someone sent me a comment on a task I am associated with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping us navigate working from home and still being involved in a team. It also helps us prioritize the tasks that are being assigned.
An indispensable tool for my team.
What do you like best about the product?
My team has been using Asana since 2020, and it's become an integral part of our process. It allows us to deal with project intake, management and reporting, all in one place. We used it as part of our onboarding, and are often commended on on our processes by new hires, who find it easy to use, even with little experience. I've recently started accessing virtual workshops to learn more about certain features, and it's great to know there are many more things we could be doing on Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
At present, we haven't fully integrated some of the other tools we use as a team, but we are hopeful that in learning more about Asana's features we will be able to transition some of our processes to the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is a valuable tool for managing diverse and complex workflows. We use it to forecast, manage and report on communications and marketing projects. Without it, it would be challenging for someone in my position to have visibility into what the team is working on a daily basis.
I learned a lot of information about ASANA. I left the training to use Asana for my entire team.
