Perfect for agile teams and and small groups who need to keep track of project tasks and status
What do you like best about the product?
Asana have a very easy to use web interface and is easy to setup, organize, assign, and comment on tasks. The built-in communications tools are top notch and keep each individual conversation targeted and moving. I also like how responsive the Asana developers are in bringing new features and improvements to the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app on Android needs improvement with UI. Unlike the web interface, I am constantly trying to figure out what to do next on the mobile app and have accidently marked tasks as done more often than intended due to some confusion on when to swipe to a new screen and when a swipe marks tasks as done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing insiders and outsiders in on projects and keeping everyone apprised of status and tasks remaining to complete a project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana seems to be a great fit for teams looking for agile or GTD development structures. If a traditional PM software with dependencies and waterfalls is required, this is probably not the app for you.
Okay but takes a while to get up and running
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the calendar functionality and visibility, as it not only presents you with deadlines, but helps you stay on task with what you have planned on doing. It does a good job of allowing for multiple ways of viewing the tasks you are trying to manage and keep up to date with, and the reminders and home view really allow for clear communication on task management.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not the simplest of interfaces and can take time to get situated with the team. Additionally, the tiers of tasks they provide are not extensive enough for our needs. We also operate on more of a scrum/agile method which is much easier implemented with other software that we have found.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Asana for basic task management for an early stage startup. Given that we are a small company with constantly changing needs, the more rigid nature of Asana is not ideal. However, we are able to better track progress which helps to dictate day to day operations better. We are still not using Asana as our sole project management tool, but have found value in it nonetheless.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look at all different project management tools and think about how you plan on growing your team and what framework you want to use (i.e. kanban or otherwise) as there are certain tools better equipped for some methodologies while Asana is good in its own way.
Task Management for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
The search function is pretty good at finding every task or file related to your search query (even on completed tasks). Tagging projects and tasks helps our team keep campaigns organized instead of just floating around somewhere in Asana. When you upload images, they upload with a thumbnail preview so you can see what the file is before even opening it.
The addition of "boards" allows our team to move projects from one stage to the next and is a nice visual element to Asana. The "copy task" functionality saves me time on repeated tasks, which is huge for me each week. The abiilty to "pin to top" is especially helpful for long threads because you can keep important messages and/or files in clear view instead of buried within a long conversation back and forth with team members. Finally, the two-verification method when deleting a task is nice because the platform doesn't just get rid of something immediately--it makes you confirm it before deleting it from the backend.

What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawback of Asana for me is the inability to edit comments. Users can only delete and type a new one. This seems like a simple thing to add especially when followers and @ mentions get an email notification of every new update to a task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More organization with projects and campaign management.
Complex features convolute this interface
What do you like best about the product?
it used to be intuitive and clearly nest activities and outstanding items in a logical flow
What do you dislike about the product?
it has so many newfangled features and additional capabilities that it now lacks intuition and some project tasks and comments get lost in the layers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
cross channel and dept project management
Good app for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Good for project management but not as seamless and funny to use as a MeisterTask or with as many powerups as Trello. Asana is generally used by a lot of my suppliers and that is why I use it. It has grown in terms of user functionalities and design and it is now much better. You can create projects, tasks, tasks groups, etc. You can do all kind of things inside the tasks such as attach documents, comment, set dates, responsible persons, tags, etc. The iOS app is a great app and you can do everything on the app that you can on the web. You also have a great calender view.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacks the kanban board and the sexy and fun CX. Lacks also the Gantt chart view. It is not so fun to use as Meistertask and Trello.

To manage all kind of Projects with partners and clients. Generraly I'm invited to use the app by a supplier or client and I manage the entire project through the app. So that way you don't have to send e-mails or messages or call, you do everything on the app and that way it is easy to see the project satus and the tasks status. Also every comment and document of the project is easely find within the app on a search functionality. You can invite others to joint the project, give them tasks, etc. Is a great way to do it.

You should give it a try. also consider MeisterTask and Trello
