A test stack for almost every aspect of software testing... and more.

  • December 12, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The wide range of products and the ease of integration with other tech stacks. The producst are also quite easy to use and I have seen a lot of improvements over the years.
The support I get as well is amazing as I get very quick responses to issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation could be improved. Sometimes I go around in circles looking for a product document I used before. I found that you can get to some documents easliy when on the product but finding the document when you access the documentation pages directly can be a bit of a hassle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest solution is the accessibility testing and the ability to integrate that with aour automation framework.

Reliable Cross-Browser Testing with BrowserStack Live – A Game-Changer for Web Developers

  • December 12, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack Live has had a huge impact on how I do cross-browser testing. Its best feature lets you test on real devices and browsers right away, without needing to set up tricky local setups or handle actual devices. It's super handy and saves a ton of time. The platform works with loads of browsers, devices, and operating systems, so you can test for all sorts of situations. The interface is simple to get the hang of even if you're new to cross-browser testing. Plus, the platform runs fast and responds during tests, which makes the whole thing run .
What do you dislike about the product?
BrowserStack Live is a solid tool, but it has room to get better in a few areas. For starters, the cost can hit hard for smaller teams or solo developers if you need to check your work on lots of devices and browsers often. Also, the connection can be hit-or-miss at times when you're testing on older or basic devices. This isn't a huge problem, but it can affect how well you can test. , it's not always easy to find certain odd browsers or OS versions, which can be a pain if you need very specific setups for testing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack tackles a bunch of super important issues for the folks who build and check websites — it's like a must-have when you're making stuff on the web:

Testing if Stuff Works on Different Browsers:
One gnarly problem that developers deal with is getting their site or web application to run smooth on all sorts of browsers and gadgets. Going through each browser version and gadget by hand to test stuff is a real drag and not the best use of time. BrowserStack jumps in to save the day with its stash of actual gadgets and a whole bunch of browsers and operating systems you can use. You just hop on, do your tests right there and then, and you don't have to bother with your own pile of devices or setting up a bazillion test setups.

Testing on Actual Gadgets:
Testing on BrowserStack, you don't just rely on simulators or emulators, which can miss the mark on showing how folks really see your website. Instead, you get to test on actual devices. That gives a better look at the real-world performance, user interface, and how people will actually interact with your site. It's super handy for finding problems specific to certain gadgets, which you might never notice if you were just using a desktop browser.

Speeding Up QA Work:
Man, before BrowserStack came along getting all your gadgets, settings, and testing spots ready for checking how things worked across different browsers was a real time-gobbler. Took hours! But now, thanks to BrowserStack, I can dive right into testing on a bunch of different devices without worrying about setup time. My testing work got way faster, and that means we can move through development at a quicker pace.

Working and Teaming Up:
When folks are spread out working, BrowserStack makes it way easier for the group to work together. Everyone gets to use the same test spots so developers and QA folks can look at problems at the same time and fix stuff on various gadgets all at once. This made our process slicker and cut down on the times we get stuck waiting to chat.

Growth and Being Adjustable:
Thanks to BrowserStack being on the cloud, I can beef up my test game fast. It doesn't matter if it's about checking if things work on mobile seeing if they play nice with different browsers, or just making sure everything runs smooth on various operating systems. The platform's ready for whatever, and I don't have to pour money into heaps of gear. That's a big win for quick-moving teams juggling a bunch of projects or when what we're making keeps changing a lot.

Cost Effective Testing Across a Wide Range of Devices and Browsers

  • December 06, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Virtulized copies of a large variety of real brand devices, including nearly all operating system versions, all major browsera and their related software versions are available for testing on the platform and good customer support service. To accomplish the same amount of testing you would have to spend hundreds of thousands of thousands of dollars if you had to buy every gadget yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of hands on device experience is the sole disadvantage of BrowserStack. If they had an interactive equipment museum where you could see them in person, that would be fantastic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The SDET wrote the test cases for our products, which we are currently examining. The early detection of important bugs in the lower environment has been greatly aided by this procedure. Additionally we are assessing test performance because it affects user experience and are constantly trying to make it better every day.

Excellent tool for small businesses and startups who can't afford multiple devices for testing

  • December 05, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I find the most helpful about using BrowserStack is the ability to test our mobile app on different devices and screen sizes. It's pretty illuminating to see how the different screen sizes can change the quality of the UI. Not to mention that since the app stores require screenshots on difference devices and screen sizes to go live, we never would have been able to meet that requirement if it weren't for BrowserStack. I'm an Android user and needed to test our new mobile app on iPad. I asked all my Apple-using friends to borrow one for testing. No one was able to lend me one and I was stuck... until BrowserStack!
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful thing about BrowserStack is that I cannot access the device settings on an iOS device without upgrading our plan, which we can't afford to do. It makes testing in-app purchases impossible. Also, sometimes the screen capture function freezes and requires me to refresh the screen and go through the login process all over again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to test and take screenshots on different devices and screen sizes. Without that function we would not be able to submit our app on the app stores.

Streamlining Mobile Testing with BrowserStack

  • December 05, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
At my present company, I first became aware of BrowserStack. We utilize it to execute automation scripts on a variety of mobile platforms, such as iOS and Android. It also facilitates manual testing on device with different screen sizes. I value the extensive feature set that BrowserStack offers and the ease with which my team can test our apps on several platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
For my development workflow, the use cases are a little bit constrained. Since we mostly rely on user agents to identify device capabilities and render device specific experience, Chrome DevTools is typically adequate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We save a great deal of time by not having to maintain physical devices thanks to BrowserStack. With BrowserStack, we can quickly choose the device type, OS version, and browser and execute our application without worrying about problems like low battery life pr incompatibility with different OS versions.
