  • December 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of BrowserStack is It allows us to take experience of our web applications to multiple browsers online, even if we do not have that browser on our local machine.
It helps developers to identify the development issues using diff browsers testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It take too much of time to shift from one browser stack to another
Sometimes our team needs to take restart the browser server to get specific browser window,
But it's helpful to check pure applications
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack helped our team to test our website into multiple browsers at once, By testing responsive behavior or our web website with different versions of browser helps me alot to deploy my site live.

Best Web and Mobile Manual and Automation Testing platform

What do you like best about the product?
Varieties of mobile devices, OS and Browsers
Easy parallel execution on the multiple hardware devices virtually
GeoLocation testing is easily possible
Easy User Interface
It supports Manual and automation testing
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a perfect automation tool but not an Open source tool.
Although it offers a variety of devices, the response time is slow.
Compare to other tools I found Browser stack automate is an expensive tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using BrowserStack App Automate and App Live products for Android and Mobile app automation and manual testing.

Good web and mobile testing platform with a no.of devices and browser support

  • August 30, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Parallel execution options for faster completion of the tests
2.Customer support
3.General dsahboard view
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Tests getting timed out and inconsistent failures(sometimes the elements are not detected, which will work fine upon subsequent executions). It affects the confidence in the automation results

2. Percy is not that user friendly for testers(although I think it is aimed at more developer testing)

3. On the test results, it is mentioned as REST API with various statuses. Why don't you put this as Status instead? (there is another Status section which to me does not make much sense) It says COMPLETED with a green tick, but the REST API section can still be a 'FAILED'.Initially, it was confusing for me.

4.Lack of customization for test summary reports. We need one single report that can list out the selected test cases/test suites as opposed to individual test report after every suite.Consolidating them is a real challenging task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The different variety of browser/ device support is a win. If we want to manually execute the tests on this wide range of browsers and devices, it can be an arduous task.

Good and very supportive for QAs

  • August 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
All the features.
Setup for Automation is really very easy
Support for various Web and mobile platforms
What do you dislike about the product?
Manual testing browser speed is very slow

Pricing is more compared to Perfecto and experitest
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we are working from remote, it is not possible to have phsical mobile devices with each team member. It is challenging for qa teams to manage and test on different physical devices

It helped us to reduce cost of mobile procurement
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Reduce pricing and make it competetive to perfecto

Useful for cross browser testing but hides errors

  • October 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack is great for cross browser testing. It supports all the major browsers and their latest version. It also offers the ability to do local testing with the network sharing feature, which allows developers to test their work on different browsers using the local development environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’ve found that Browserstack can be flakey when it reaches the maximum number of running nodes. Also, the error thrown in that case is not really indicative of the problem, and it can be rather confusing (typical error in this case is the “Connection refused. Is selenium server started?”)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross browser automated and manual testing, on all major browsers and their latest versions.

BrowserStack Review

  • September 19, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can test on some of the most current mobile devices on both Android and iPhone. Not only can you test on some of the most current devices, but you are also testing on a "real" device, not just a simulation or virtual machine. The interfaces on the mobile devices simulate the real phone and add to the authenticity of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are random connection drop outs, which will end the session you are using. This is very frustrating because if you were multiple steps/layers deep into testing something on that mobile device/browser you will loose all of your progress and have to restart. I also don't like that it times out all of the time, which once again makes you loose your progress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Browserstacks to test on some of the web browsers that are not accessible on our computers or are outdated browsers that customers still use. Also being able to test on numerous mobile devices and browsers within those devices allows us to test our mobile website from multiple views, which is a great help.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great tool for testing your services/products on some of the most common web browsers in different operating system environments and on different mobile devices and tablets. The program is easy to use and navigate.
