You pay by the hour for AlmaLinux 9.3 with support from TIOV IT. Pricing has no upfront commitment. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you run. Options span many families, including general purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, GPU, and high-memory instances. Sizes range from small (like t2.nano) to large bare-metal and multi-terabyte instances. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates. You choose the instance that matches your workload, and the software charge is added to your standard AWS compute cost.

What does one hourly unit include for each instance type?
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the named type, billed per hour. The rate covers the AlmaLinux 9.3 software with TIOV IT support on that instance. One virtual machine equals one billed unit. Larger instance types carry higher hourly software rates than smaller ones.
Am I charged the software fee when my instance is stopped?
The hourly software charge applies only while the instance runs. Fully stopped instances stop accruing the software fee. You may still pay AWS for attached storage on a stopped instance, but the AlmaLinux software rate meters running hours only.
How do I change cost if my workload grows or shrinks?
You pick the instance type that fits your workload. Moving to a larger instance raises your hourly rate; moving to a smaller one lowers it. There is no upfront commitment, so you adjust by launching or stopping instances as needs change.

The operating system does not save any sensitive information for the customers. The customer is responsible for saving any information, sensitive or not.
The data saved on the volumes is not encrypted by default.
All instance authentication must use key pair access, not password-based authentication.
AMIs does not contain passwords, authentication keys, key pairs, security keys, or other credentials.
PasswordAuthentication is set to NO in sshd_config.
The application does not make use of any encryption techniques.

Navigate to your Amazon EC2 console and verify that you're in the correct region.
Choose Instance and select your launched instance.
Select the server to display your metadata page and choose the Status checks tab at the bottom of the page to review if your status checks passed or failed.
