Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for AlmaLinux 9.1 with support from TIOV IT, billed per running instance. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each rate maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type you choose. The many options cover general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and accelerated-computing families in a wide range of sizes. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or GPU resources carry higher hourly rates. You select the instance type that fits your workload, and the software charge applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure costs. Charges accrue only while an instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select, billed per hour. The rate covers the AlmaLinux 9.1 operating system plus vendor support. Each instance you launch bills separately. The charge applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure costs for that instance type.
The hourly software charge accrues only while an instance runs. Stopped or paused instances do not incur the software rate. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the AlmaLinux support charge meters running time only.
Each rate maps to one specific EC2 instance type. Types with more CPU, memory, GPU, or storage carry higher hourly rates. You choose the type matching your workload. There are no tiers or bundles; the rate simply follows the instance size and family you select.

Login using 'cloud-user' user and ssh public key authentication
Info regarding virtual machines The operating system does not save any sensitive information for the customers. The customer is responsible for saving any information, sensitive or not. The data saved on the volumes is not encrypted by default. All instance authentication must use key pair access, not password-based authentication. AMIs does not contain passwords, authentication keys, key pairs, security keys, or other credentials. PasswordAuthentication is set to NO in sshd_config. The application does not make use of any encryption techniques.
Troubleshooting Navigate to your Amazon EC2 console and verify that you're in the correct region. Choose Instance and select your launched instance. Select the server to display your metadata page and choose the Status checks tab at the bottom of the page to review if your status checks passed or failed.
