AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay based on how many files you process, with no upfront payment. The five dimensions form a single graduated tier structure tied to files handled within the same S3 bucket. Tier_1 covers your first 8,000 files. Tier_2 covers the next 80,000 files, Tier_3 the next 160,000, and Tier_4 the next 800,000. Tier_5 applies to any files beyond that. As your volume grows, files move into higher tiers where the per-file rate drops. Billing is metered, so your cost scales up or down with actual usage each period.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one file for billing purposes?
One file is a single document or image you send for processing through the API. The system counts files processed within the same S3 bucket for your account. You can view the current hour's count in the container's 'Counter' property and the running total across all containers in 'Total' and 'Tier'.
When my volume crosses into the next tier, is the new rate applied to all files or only the additional ones?
Only the additional files fall into the higher tier. Each tier's rate applies only to files within that band. Your first 8,000 files are billed at the Tier_1 rate, the next 80,000 at the Tier_2 rate, and so on. Crossing a boundary does not reprice files already counted.
Are all processing operations metered, or do some run without incurring charges?
Some endpoints run through image, archive, and cryptography libraries instead of the core engine and are not metered. These include hash generation, GIF building, and image splitting, plus certain formats for resize, crop, parse, and merge. Operations like conversion, OCR, redaction, and e-sign run through the metered engine.

Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.
