Repstance is an entirely new real-time data propagation product for homogeneous and heterogeneous environments that supports various replication topologies. Repstance supports:
* Oracle 10G through 19C - Any version of MSSQL Server that permits the use of CDC as Source DB's
* Oracle10G - 19C, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Aurora (using either PostgreSQL or MySQL engines), Redshift, Snowflake and AWS S3 as Target DB's
Repstance transforms "Complex to Simple and Difficult to Easy".
Repstance is an innovative and extremely versatile, Enterprise Class data Facilitation tool.
By "Facilitation" we mean that, by using Repstance you are able to deploy, distribute, change and use your most valuable asset - your Data - in ways that are either, not available or are cost prohibitive when compared with other solutions, as well as performing the more basic Migration and ongoing Replication functions, whether that be on your own premises or "In the Cloud".
Repstance is extremely easy to deploy and use via a simple, interactive and highly intuitive GUI but also has an interactive CLI (Command Line Interface) for those users who are more accustomed to this environment.
Repstance is currently listed on the Azure platform and currently supports:
Oracle 10G through 19C - using either LogMiner, Redo-logs or ASM as the Data Capture method. The last 2 significantly reduce any loading on an Oracle DB when it is used as the Source.
Any version of MSSQL Server that permits the use of CDC (Change Data Capture) as Source DB's
Oracle10G - 19C, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Aurora (using either PostgreSQL or MySQL engines), Redshift, Snowflake and AWS S3 as Target DB's.
Repstance is ideally suited for the following Use Case Scenarios:
Migration.
Replication.
Blue/Green upgrade strategies.
Zero Downtime Migrations and upgrades.
Disaster Recovery and "Hot Standby" provisioning.
Multi node, Multi Cluster for "Load Balancing provision", "High Availability" and "Always On" scenarios.
Offloading of BI reporting functionality.
Data Warehousing and Data Lake provisioning.
Cross Vendor Platform redundancy.
Plus many other Topologies and requirements.
Repstance has DDL replication as part of the standard feature set out of the box, which permits it to include DDL and DML objects automatically into the replication process without needing additional user input.
Repstance Capture and Apply processes are mutually independent, so that it is possible not to have target databases continuously available, as long as the Capture processes on the source database continues to be run and is generating the required Trail files.
Repstance can, represent itself as an MS SQL replication Agent - which allows it to simulate SQL Server replication behaviour.
Repstance can start replicating data from any desired timestamp.
Repstance is possibly the fastest Replication, Migration and Deployment solution currently available.
Repstance supports Multi-Master replication in all forms of topology with ability the to ignore data produced by itself (loopback control), thus providing "True" BI/Multi-Directional replication, therefore ensuring all instances are equal and continuously synchronised, any changes made in one node will be propagated (replicated) into the other nodes.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.

You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run Repstance Advanced Edition on. All 13 options are the same product; they differ only by compute capacity. Two instance families are offered: m4 and m5. Sizes range from large through 24xlarge. Larger sizes give you more CPU and memory for heavier replication and migration workloads. Your total cost depends on which instance you pick and how many hours you run it. Some workloads use more than one instance at once, which multiplies the hourly charge accordingly.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and what is the difference between the m4 and m5 instance families?
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the size you choose, billed per hour. The m4 and m5 families are two generations of general-purpose compute. Both offer sizes from large to xlarge and up. You pick the family and size that fit your replication workload's CPU and memory needs.
Am I charged when a Repstance instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS storage may still bill separately while the instance is stopped. To end all software charges, stop or terminate the instance.
How does my cost change if a migration needs more than one instance running at once?
Each running instance bills its own hourly rate. Running two instances at the same time doubles the per-hour software charge for that period. Some setups isolate source and target with separate instances, so both accrue charges together while they run.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
