Scoold Pro is the enterprise version of the open source Q&A platform Scoold. It supports most of the features found in Stack Overflow and adds a few extras like spaces, single sign-on and geotagging of questions. Scoold Pro is lightweight - the backend is completely separated and handled by Para. It can be deployed on AWS or on premise.

Scoold Pro uses a single usage-based pricing dimension billed by container hours. You pay only for the time the container runs, measured hourly. There are no tiers or fixed quantities to choose — your cost scales directly with how long you keep the instance running. This self-hosted Q&A and knowledge-sharing platform deploys as a container on your own infrastructure. Since billing is tied to runtime, your charges rise and fall with actual usage rather than a set commitment or per-seat count.

What does one container hour cover for billing?
You pay for each hour the Scoold Pro container runs on your host machine. One running container instance accrues one unit per hour. Billing tracks actual runtime, so a container running continuously accrues 24 units per day. Multiple running containers each meter their own hours separately.
Am I charged when the container is stopped or paused?
Container hours meter only running time. A fully stopped container does not accrue software charges. If you keep the container running around the clock, hours accrue continuously. Underlying AWS infrastructure fees, such as storage, may still apply while resources persist even when the container is idle.
Does the container hour rate change based on number of users or spaces?
No. Billing ties only to container runtime, not to how many people use the platform. You can add users, create multiple spaces, and grow activity without changing the hourly rate. There are no per-seat fees. Your cost depends solely on how long the container runs.

Scoold Pro requires a Para backend server. The Para backend can either be deployed as a container or a dedicated instance. There's also a managed Para backend service at https://paraio.com
Please ensure that you have pulled the container image from the ECR using the container image details
Launch the Docker images: docker run -p 8000:8000 <AWS MP Container image URL>
