AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you choose to run Plane. The 14 options fall into two instance families. The t2 and t3 options cover general-purpose sizes from medium through 2xlarge, suited to varying workload demands. The m4 options range from large through 16xlarge for heavier compute needs. Hourly rates rise as instance size increases, so you match cost to the capacity you need. Each option includes deployment on your cloud, continuous security scans, a management dashboard, and 24/7 support.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of billing cover for each EC2 instance option?
You pay for each hour an instance runs Plane. The instance type you select sets the vCPU and memory capacity behind the software. Larger types like m4.16xlarge give more compute per hour. Billing meters running time, so you match the instance size to your workload.
Am I charged the hourly rate when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software charge meters running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage costs for attached volumes, but those are separate from the Plane software charge.
What happens to my cost if I need more capacity later?
You switch to a larger instance type to gain more vCPU and memory. The new hourly rate applies once that instance runs. There is no automatic tier jump; you choose and launch the size you need. Each option bills independently by the hour.
