AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run this software on. The 18 dimensions map to different instance sizes across the t2, t3, t3a, m3, and m4 families. Larger instances hold more compute and memory, so their hourly rate is higher. Smaller sizes like large fit lighter workloads, while xlarge, 2xlarge, and up handle heavier demand. You choose the instance type at launch, then billing accrues hourly for as long as the instance runs. No upfront commitment applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly instance rate cover beyond the compute itself?
The hourly software rate covers the Redash application packaged and maintained by Hossted. Connecting the instance to the Hossted Platform adds real-time monitoring, automated updates, security, and analytics. Underlying AWS infrastructure charges, such as storage, are billed separately by AWS.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when the instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, billed separately by AWS. Charges resume when you restart the instance.
What does one billable unit represent across these dimensions?
Each dimension bills per running hour of a single EC2 instance of the named type. One unit equals one hour that one instance runs. Running multiple instances multiplies the charge by the number of instances, each billed at its own type's rate.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
