Overview
What IPPulse does
IPPulse turns an IP address into a structured intelligence profile that an AI agent or a security pipeline can reason over directly.
- GET /v1/lookup/{ip} returns geolocation (country, region, city, latitude, longitude, timezone, postal code), ASN data (number, organisation, ISP, BGP prefix), reverse DNS hostname, and boolean risk flags: mobile, proxy, and hosting.
- POST /v1/bulk accepts up to 50 addresses in one call and returns results in input order.
- GET /v1/reputation/{ip} returns open ports, CVE IDs, and additional hostnames from Shodan InternetDB (no Shodan key required).
Where the data comes from
Geolocation comes from ip-api.com (free, no key, 45 requests/minute). ASN and BGP prefix come from ipinfo.app Atlas. Reputation data comes from Shodan InternetDB. If ip-api.com is unavailable the API answers 503 and the call is not billed.
Three ways to connect
- REST with an X-API-Key header, described by an OpenAPI 3 schema (https://ippulse.waltsoft.net/openapi.json ).
- MCP: the tool ippulse___lookupIp on the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway, for Claude, Strands Agents and other MCP clients.
- A2A (Agent2Agent 0.3): the agent card at https://ippulse.waltsoft.net/.well-known/agent-card.json with skills lookupIp, bulkLookupIps and getIpReputation.
Who it is for
Threat intelligence pipelines, fraud detection workflows, access control agents that need to classify incoming IPs, and security tools that require fast, structured IP data without managing multiple data source integrations.
Billing
Single lookup: $0.005. Bulk batch (up to 50 IPs): $0.02. Reputation check: $0.01. Errors (400, 401, 404, 429, 5xx) are never billed.
Highlights
- Full IP profile in one call: geolocation (country, region, city, coordinates, timezone), ASN number, organisation, ISP, reverse hostname, and boolean risk flags (mobile, proxy, hosting)
- Three data sources in one API: ip-api.com for geo, ipinfo.app Atlas for ASN, Shodan InternetDB for open ports and CVEs; if a source is down the API returns 503 and nothing is billed
- Agent-ready: REST with an OpenAPI 3 schema, an MCP tool on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway and an A2A agent card; pay only for successful calls on your AWS bill
