Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run. The software itself is a pre-configured image managed through the Websoft9 Console, and the hourly rate scales with the compute resources you pick. Options span general-purpose families (m4, m5, m5d, t2, t3), compute-optimized (c4, c5, c5d, c6a), memory-optimized (r4, r5, r5d, x1, x1e, z1d), GPU and accelerated (g3, p2, p3, f1), and storage-heavy (d2, h1, i3) types. Larger sizes within each family carry more CPU, memory, or storage, so cost rises with capacity. You choose the size matching your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for the hourly rate on each instance size?
You get a pre-configured Odoo image running on the EC2 instance you select, managed through the Websoft9 Console. The hourly rate covers the software image for that instance size. AWS bills the underlying EC2 compute separately based on the family, CPU, memory, and storage that instance provides.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
The hourly software charge meters running time. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the software license only counts hours the instance runs.
How is this Odoo image licensed, and are there added costs?
The image is a repackaged Odoo Community Edition under an open source license, with professional support included. You install and run it through the Websoft9 Console. Moving to Enterprise Edition requires a separate license and image from the vendor, which is not part of this hourly listing.

This is the free (community edition) version of Odoo 17. But the database is somewhere in the cloud, not in RDS where you control the data. And there's an added fee of $495.00 due in 5 days.
I gave it 3 stars because it mostly installs without problems.
