You pay by the hour for Oracle Linux 8.6 bundled with the GigaOps Security Agent. Each dimension maps to one specific EC2 instance type, so pricing follows the compute size you choose. Smaller shared-core instances (like t2 and t3 families) sit at the low end. Larger compute, memory, storage, and accelerated instances (c, m, r, x, i, g, p, and metal families) cost more per hour as their resources increase. You are billed only for hours the instance runs, with no upfront commitment. Select the instance type that matches your workload's compute and memory needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover for billing?
Each dimension maps to one running EC2 instance of a specific type. You are billed for every hour that instance runs the software. The rate covers Oracle Linux 8.6 plus the GigaOps Security Agent on that single instance. Running multiple instances multiplies the charge by instance count.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges meter running hours only. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. You may still owe separate AWS charges for attached storage or reserved resources, but those are billed by AWS, not by this software license.
Is this pay-as-you-go, or do I commit to a term?
This uses usage-based hourly billing with no upfront commitment. You launch the instance type you need and pay for the hours it runs. You can stop or change instance types at any time, and costs adjust to the hours actually used.
