    Dimensions summary

You pay by the hour for this hardened Oracle Linux 8.6 image with a security agent. The software rate stays the same across every option; you choose an EC2 instance type to run it on. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance type, from small burstable sizes to large compute-, memory-, storage-, and GPU-focused machines, including bare-metal options. Your cost scales with the instance you pick and the hours you run it. Larger or more specialized instances cost more per hour. You can start, stop, and change instances as your needs shift.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

You get the hardened Oracle Linux 8.6 image bundled with a security agent, running on the EC2 instance type you select. The instance type sets the CPU, memory, storage, and any GPU resources. The software charge is the same per hour regardless of which instance size you choose.
The software fee meters running instance-hours. When an instance is fully stopped, no hourly software charge accrues. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage costs for attached volumes. Charges resume once you start the instance again.
Yes. The software rate stays flat, but your total hourly cost changes with the instance you run. Moving to a larger or specialized instance raises the per-hour cost; moving to a smaller one lowers it. You can change instances as your needs shift.
