AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for this hardened Oracle Linux 8 image running on ARM64 (Graviton) instances. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance type, so your rate follows the instance size and family you launch. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and graphics families, from small sizes up to metal instances. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and the software fee applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure charges. Billing runs per hour of use.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged the hourly software fee when my ARM instance is stopped or powered off?
The software fee meters running instance-hours. A fully stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue hourly software charges. You may still pay standard AWS storage fees for attached volumes while the instance is stopped, but the image license charge applies only to running time.
What determines my hourly rate across these instance dimensions?
Each dimension maps to one specific AWS Graviton (ARM64) instance type. Your rate follows the instance family and size you launch, from small sizes up to metal instances. You pick the instance that fits your workload. The rate applies for each hour that instance runs.
What is included in the software fee beyond the operating system?
The fee covers a hardened Oracle Linux 8 image organized around PCI DSS operating-system requirements. It includes monthly patched image releases and a per-image evidence pack as published. Your team still owns application security, cloud architecture, networking, logging, and assessor validation. AWS infrastructure charges apply separately.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
This image comes pre-configured with Hardened compliance already integrated. However, it's worth noting that the use of a hardened system could call for certain adaptations. The advanced security measures might restrict some functionalities or require additional actions for certain operations due to its hardened nature. Should any issues arise, we recommend reaching out to the software provider for further assistance.
