Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What is included in the Starter Package, and what defines its billing limits?

Warehouse-Native Activation with Deep SaaS Destinations and Flexible SQL/dbt/Python Syncs
Reviewed on Aug 27, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
Hightouch's biggest strength is simple: it doesn't make you copy your data anywhere else. It queries your existing warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift) and pushes the results straight out to over 250 SaaS destinations, covering CRMs, ad platforms, marketing automation tools, and customer success systems. That's one of the deepest catalogs in the category. Technical teams tend to like the flexibility too. You can define syncs using SQL, dbt models, or Python, so it fits right into a workflow your data team probably already runs. The audience-building tools hold up well, letting you build segments with SQL or a visual builder, using complex conditions based on product usage, revenue, or other customer traits. Recognition in the industry backs this up: Gartner named Hightouch a Leader in the 2026 Magic Quadrant for Customer Data Platforms for the first time. And after Fivetran absorbed Census in 2025, Hightouch became the clear standalone, vendor-neutral activation platform for teams who want a dedicated tool rather than one folded into a bigger ingestion vendor. Nothing's perfect, though. Hightouch assumes you already know SQL instead of offering a true no-code setup, and it skips its own transformation layer, so pricing rides on usage and rows synced rather than a flat fee. Teams with a warehouse already in place and some engineering support will get the most value out of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hightouch has some real gaps too. It doesn't include its own transformation layer, so you're stuck handling that work in dbt or warehouse views before anything gets synced. That's a dealbreaker for smaller teams without dedicated data engineers. SQL proficiency isn't optional here either; unlike more visual, no-code competitors, Hightouch expects your team to write and maintain SQL, dbt, or Python models just to get syncs running. Pricing adds another headache. Costs start around $1,000 a month for up to 500,000 monthly tracked rows, and it climbs into custom enterprise territory from there. Usage-based billing tied to row volume sounds fine on paper, but it gets unpredictable fast once campaign activity or data volume spikes. You also need a cloud data warehouse already in place. Without one, Hightouch simply isn't an option, which rules it out for teams still running on scattered spreadsheets or lighter-weight tools. Put together, it's a platform built for data teams with existing infrastructure and engineering support, not a quick plug-and-play fix for smaller or less technical teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hightouch tackles a problem most companies eventually run into: data that lives in the warehouse but never makes it to the tools where people actually work. Sales reps don't query BigQuery. Marketers don't write SQL to pull a segment before a campaign launch. So without something like Hightouch, teams end up building one-off integrations for every tool, or worse, exporting CSVs and uploading them by hand. That approach breaks down fast. Hightouch fixes this by treating the warehouse as the single source of truth and syncing clean, modeled data straight into Salesforce, HubSpot, ad platforms, and dozens of other destinations on a schedule. The benefit shows up almost immediately: marketing and sales teams get accurate, up-to-date customer data without waiting on engineering for every request, and data teams stop maintaining a pile of brittle point-to-point integrations. It also cuts down on the classic problem of every department having a slightly different version of the truth, since everything traces back to the same warehouse tables. For a company already investing in a modern data stack, that consolidation alone often justifies the cost.

Engineers Can Sync Data Easily with Standard SQL Queries
Reviewed on Aug 26, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Engineers can synchronize data using standard SQL queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hightouch is a “warehouse-native” platform. If an organization doesn’t already have a highly mature, well-modeled, and clean data warehouse, the software is essentially unusable. It doesn’t offer built-in data quality cleansing or provide source B2B contact data. As a result, data engineers have to manually build the necessary models and joins before marketers can take advantage of the self-service visual features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem is that valuable customer data often ends up trapped inside analytical warehouses (like Snowflake or BigQuery), where operational tools can’t easily access it. The benefit is that it automatically pushes that data into the everyday software tools used by sales, marketing, and support teams, so those teams can actually use it in their day-to-day work.

Clean Data to Ad Platforms, But the Interface Feels Too Complex
Reviewed on Aug 25, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The best benefit of high-tech was being able to pass clean data through to our advertising platforms. That was very, very helpful. For us with a large marketing budget, having cleaner data wasn't a planner decision. So definitely we got our money's worth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it to be quite complicated to use. I understand that it's a data software and there's always gonna be levels of technicality involved, but I thought it was some that could be made a lot simpler. And there was a lot of technical jargon that required us to get more teams involved than probably necessary.
But overall very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to pass through clean data through our advertising platforms has been a very, very big help because it allows you to make better decisions and attribute correctly.

What do you like best about the product?
gold standard in the market for reverse ETL
What do you dislike about the product?
Works well for all the integrations we have in our system. but sometime the discussion happens if we have less number of integrations shall we go for a licensed reverse ETL or a build your own solution. High number of integrations make sense always.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
reverse ETL .. specifically from data warehouse to CRM systems
