This is the free Community Edition, so the software carries no license charge. You pay only for the AWS EC2 compute you run it on, billed per hour. The dimensions are not tiers or feature levels. Each one maps to a specific EC2 instance type you choose at launch. Options span general-purpose t2, t3, and t3a families in sizes from medium to 2xlarge, plus vt1 video-transcoding instances in 3xlarge, 6xlarge, and 24xlarge sizes. Cost scales with the instance size and family you select. Larger instances give more capacity and cost more per hour.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of billing actually cover for a chosen instance type?
Each dimension bills per hour that the EC2 instance runs. The software itself carries no charge in the Community Edition. You pay the AWS compute rate for the specific instance family and size you launch, metered by running time. One hour equals one hour of that single instance running.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance stops accruing hourly charges. Attached AWS storage may still incur separate AWS fees while the instance is stopped, but the Community Edition software carries no license cost.
How do the general-purpose t2/t3/t3a instances differ from the vt1 instances in cost terms?
The t2, t3, and t3a families are general-purpose compute for typical backend workloads. The vt1 instances are video-transcoding optimized and come in larger 3xlarge, 6xlarge, and 24xlarge sizes. Cost scales with instance size and family. You pick one instance type per deployment; you are not billed across multiple types.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Community Edition is a pre-packaged minimal deployment of Rierino Core Platform for development, testing & MVP purposes or small scale projects, including following containers, using Docker Compose:
adminui: User interface for low-code development as well as business modules, which is accessible on port 80 as default
admincontroller: API gateway which orchestrates access to all backend microservices, accessible on port 8080 as default
adminrunner: Backend microservices which are developed and customized using a low-code approach, accessible through admincontroller
Application configurations and data are stored in a self-contained MongoDB container within the image (accessible on port 27017), which can be replaced with an existing MongoDB instance by migrating its contents and editing globalconfig.properties files pointing to the new server.
