    Dimensions summary

You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you choose to run this Authentik identity provider AMI. The twelve options let you match compute size to your needs. The t3 and t3a options are burstable general-purpose instances in small and medium sizes. The m4, m5, m5a, m6a, and m7a large options are balanced general-purpose instances. The c5, c5a, and c6a large options are compute-optimized instances. Software runs at a per-hour rate for each type, plus standard AWS infrastructure charges. Larger or higher-performance instances carry higher hourly rates.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

You get the pre-configured Authentik identity provider AMI running on the EC2 instance size you select. The instance type sets the vCPU and memory available. The vendor guide recommends the t3.small option for standard deployments. You choose the size that matches your expected authentication load.
Software charges meter running time, so a stopped instance stops accruing hourly software fees. The vendor guide lets you stop the instance and restart it later. Note that AWS storage and other underlying infrastructure fees may still apply while the instance is stopped.
Yes. Since billing is per hour by instance type, you can stop the current instance and relaunch on a different supported type. Your hourly software rate then follows the new instance's rate. There is no upfront commitment tying you to one size.
