Terraform on Windows 2022 Powered by GlobalSolutions with 24/7 Support
You pay by the hour for the software running on a Windows 2022 machine image, with 24/7 support included. Pricing is tied to the AWS instance size you launch. You choose from seven instance types across two families: burstable t3 sizes (nano, small, medium, large) that suit variable workloads, and steady-performance m6a, m7a, and m7i sizes for consistent demand. Larger instances add more compute and memory, so the hourly rate scales with the instance you pick. You run the same pre-packaged Terraform stack on any option you select.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do the hourly instance types like t3.medium or m6a.large actually represent for billing?
Each type is an AWS instance size you launch to run the Terraform image. You pay per hour that instance runs. Burstable t3 types handle variable workloads; m6a, m7a, and m7i types give steady performance. The size sets the compute and memory you get, and the hourly rate.
Am I charged the hourly rate when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software rate meters running time. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for the disk. To end software charges, stop or terminate the instance in the AWS Console.
Does the hourly software price cover the cloud resources Terraform provisions in my account?
No. The hourly price covers the Terraform image, the Windows 2022 machine, and 24/7 support. Resources Terraform creates, such as a VPC, subnet, or EC2 instance, are billed separately by AWS to your own account. Review your main.tf file before running it to understand what gets created.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
