    Overview

    Play video

Elyxia Global Limited brings you a robust and performance-optimized SuiteCRM image built on AlmaLinux 10, the current major release. This ready-to-deploy AMI gives you a working CRM in minutes rather than a day spent assembling a web server, a database and an application. SuiteCRM manages the whole customer relationship from one place: leads and opportunities through a sales pipeline you define, accounts and contacts with a full activity history, quotes, invoices and contracts, cases and a self-service portal for customer service, campaigns and target lists for marketing, and reports and dashboards built without writing SQL. Workflow rules act on your records automatically, and Studio lets you add your own fields, modules and relationships without touching code. The AlmaLinux 10 base ensures your system runs on a secure, enterprise-grade Linux distribution known for stability and long-term support. Whether you are a small team tracking a few hundred deals or a business running marketing campaigns against a large contact database, SuiteCRM scales to fit, and its open-source licence means you keep full control of your customer data with no per-user fee as you grow.

Pre-bundled with this AMI: SuiteCRM 8.10.2, AlmaLinux 10, MariaDB 11.4, PHP 8.2, Apache Web Server, Caddy reverse proxy, Docker and Docker Compose

The application runs in containers. SuiteCRM and its database are managed by Docker Compose on the instance, which means application updates can be delivered without replacing the AMI, and the database runs on an isolated internal network with no port exposed to the internet. Your documents, attachments and uploaded files are kept in separate storage that an application update does not touch.

Your CRM is installed and ready when the instance finishes starting. There is no browser setup wizard to work through. The administrator account is created for you and its password is shown once, in the summary at the end of installation.

The scheduler runs by itself. Workflows, inbound email checks, reminders and scheduled reports run inside the application container from the moment it starts, with no crontab to edit and no scheduler user to configure.

Use your own domain name with a free SSL certificate. One command requests a Lets Encrypt certificate, renews it automatically, and redirects HTTP to HTTPS.

The instance needs only three inbound ports: 22 for SSH, 80 and 443 for the CRM and certificate issuance. This image does not include a local mail server, so SuiteCRM sends through an SMTP server that you provide, configured under Admin, Email Settings after installation. No inbound mail port is required.

    Highlights

    • Complete CRM in One Place: Sales pipeline, accounts and contacts, quotes and invoices, cases, campaigns and reporting, with Studio for adding your own fields and modules without code and no per-user licence fee.
    • Built on AlmaLinux 10: An enterprise-grade, binary compatible Linux with a long support life. SuiteCRM installs itself at first boot, with no browser setup wizard, and the scheduler that drives workflows and reminders is already running.
    • Containerized and Maintainable: SuiteCRM and MariaDB run as Docker containers on AlmaLinux 10, so the database is not exposed to the internet and application updates do not require rebuilding the instance. A Caddy reverse proxy handles HTTPS and your free SSL certificate.

    Dimensions summary

You pay by the hour for a pre-configured SuiteCRM 8.x image running on AlmaLinux 9. The single hourly software rate stays the same; your cost varies only by which EC2 instance type you run it on. The listing covers a wide range of instance families, from small burstable options to large compute, memory, storage, and accelerated types. Smaller instances cost less per hour to run; larger instances with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware cost more. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and billing scales with the hours you use.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

Each hourly charge covers one running EC2 instance with the pre-configured SuiteCRM 8.x image on AlmaLinux 9. The vendor recommends a t3a.small or t3.small instance for setup. You install and initialize the software using a one-click script after launching your chosen instance.
The software rate meters running instance-hours. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the volume while the instance is stopped. Cancellations within 48 hours of purchase are eligible for a refund per AWS Marketplace policy.
The software rate is charged per hour based on the instance type you run. Switching to a type with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware raises your hourly cost. Moving to a smaller type lowers it. The change takes effect when you launch the new instance type.

    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Version release notes

Release Notes for SuiteCRM 8.10.2 Alma Linux 10 (EGL Build 260910.1a) This version supersedes the existing EGL Build 260629.1a.

    What is New:

    1. (NEW) Containerized build on AlmaLinux 10, replacing AlmaLinux 9. SuiteCRM and its database run as containers, so application updates can be delivered without replacing the AMI, and your documents and attachments are kept in storage that an update does not touch.

    2. (NEW) Your CRM is ready when the instance finishes starting. SuiteCRM is installed automatically at first boot, including your administrator account. There is no browser setup wizard to work through.

    3. (NEW) The scheduler runs by itself. Workflows, inbound email checks, reminders and scheduled reports run inside the application container from the moment it starts, with no crontab to edit and no scheduler user to configure.

    4. (NEW) Use your own domain name with a free SSL certificate. Run one command, sudo egl-setup-domain.sh.x, and enter your domain. A free Let's Encrypt certificate is requested automatically and renews itself from then on. No email address is required and no configuration files need editing.

    5. (NEW) Automatic HTTP to HTTPS redirect once a domain is associated, so visitors reach the secure address whichever they type.

    6. (NEW) Reverse proxy included. TLS is handled by a Caddy proxy in front of SuiteCRM, so certificates survive application updates and container restarts instead of needing to be reinstalled.

    7. (IMPROVED) SuiteCRM 8.10.2, updated from 8.9. The version is now fixed in the image, so every instance of a given build carries exactly the same application.

    8. (IMPROVED) MariaDB is pinned to version 11.4, a long term support series on the SuiteCRM supported matrix, so every new installation gets a known, tested database version. PHP 8.2 is tuned for the file and attachment sizes a CRM handles.

    9. (IMPROVED) The database is no longer reachable from outside the instance. It runs on an isolated internal network with no published port, and the recommended inbound ports are now only 22, 80 and 443.

    10. (IMPROVED) Uploaded documents and attachments are stored separately from the application, so they are untouched when the application is updated.

    11. (IMPROVED) Hardened web server configuration. Directory listing is disabled, configuration files are unreachable over HTTP, and uploaded files are served without being executed.

    12. (IMPROVED) Dangerous PHP functions are disabled in this image, and SuiteCRM installs cleanly with them disabled.

    13. (IMPROVED) Installation no longer depends on a single image source. If one source is unavailable the installer falls back to others automatically, so a new instance can still be built.

    14. (IMPROVED) Clearer installation messages, including a check that your domain points at the instance before a certificate is requested. This avoids the Let's Encrypt rate limit that follows repeated failed attempts.

    15. (IMPROVED) Outbound mail is configured in one place. This image does not include a local mail server, so SuiteCRM sends through an SMTP server that you provide, set under Admin, Email Settings.

    Additional details

    Usage instructions

Connect to the instance over SSH as ec2-user and run the one-click installer. The full guide, including the AWS console steps, is at https://assist.elyxia.uk/docs/suitecrm-8-x/one-click-installation/

The installer creates your administrator account and prints the username and password once, at the end. Write the password down before closing the terminal. It is generated for your instance and is not stored anywhere you can read it back.

Open your CRM at http://YOUR-INSTANCE-PUBLIC-IP/  and log in with those details. To use your own domain name with a free SSL certificate, run: sudo /usr/local/bin/egl-setup-domain.sh.x

Before you invite your team, set your outgoing mail server under Admin, Email Settings. This instance cannot send email until you do, so password resets and notifications will not arrive. Then change the administrator password under your profile.
