Overview
This Amazon Machine Image runs Netdata on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and is prepared by ThinkCloud so you can start from a working deployment instead of a blank server.
Included configuration
- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with current system updates applied.
- Docker Engine and the Docker Compose plugin, with Netdata running as a container set configured to restart automatically.
- Application data stored under /opt/netdata so it survives container recreation.
- A service summary at /README.md describing ports, paths, and default accounts.
Security hardening and support
This AMI is Hardened by ThinkCloud with security-focused operating-system configuration and baseline hardening intended to reduce unnecessary exposure and provide a consistent starting point. Review your security groups, IAM permissions, secrets, application settings, and patch levels before production deployment. ThinkCloud support is available for AMI usage and initial configuration.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
SSH to the instance and login as ubuntu using the key specified at launch. Open /README.md for the service summary.
Netdata listens on port 19999. Point a browser at http://<public-ip>:19999 after restricting the security group to trusted source addresses.
