What do you like best about the product?
The reverse incremental backup solution helps a lot in saving time and the data transfer amounts by creating an initial backup and then backing up the changes.

Install base is too big and very limited capabilities compared to other products.

The real question is: How quickly can you get the backup up and running? Veeam clearly beats its competitors here.

What do you like best about the product?

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Veeam Data Platform because it enables rapid virtual machine restoration within minutes, turning what used to be hours of downtime into just five minutes. I also value how it ensures clean, consistent backups for SQL Server, Exchange, and Oracle, which is crucial for maintaining data integrity. Additionally, the platform's initial setup was friendly, making the transition smoother.

I don't like that customers have to manage cloud repositories and tiering policies manually.

Versatile Backup Solution with Cost-Effective Licensing

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that Veeam Data Platform works on multiple devices and platforms without a problem. It allows us to use one single vendor for our backup solutions on both Linux and Windows Server, which was not possible before. Adding Linux servers is really easy, you just select it in the dropdown and it gets added.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had problems with backing up Linux databases that have constant traffic. It was having problems getting them to actually complete. This is being done on VMware, so there was a question of whether the issue was with VMware or Veeam, but it was still a concern of ours and something we were having to work through.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam Data Platform lets us manage backups across Linux and Windows Server from a single vendor, solving the issue of needing separate solutions for each. It supports multi-device use without problems and integrates utilities with VMware.
