What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional latency issues during peak usage. Some report low internet speed and sites not opening. Sometimes whitelisted sites still don’t work. Error messages just say "blocked by Zscaler" with no detail
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its best for Work from Anywhere - i get the same fast & Secure Internet Access. It Handles authentication & Security Automatically, I do not need to open things Manually as Zscaler will do it for me.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) is how it delivers exceptional performance through fast, direct-to-cloud connectivity and seamless SSL decryption, all while remaining virtually invisible to employees via a lightweight, frictionless end-user UI/UX. The platform features robust, ecosystem-wide integrations with our existing IdP and EDR tools (such as Okta and CrowdStrike), allowing us to seamlessly leverage ZIA's advanced AI and threat intelligence for proactive zero-day sandboxing and automated data protection. While the initial onboarding and support phase requires strategic planning to transition away from legacy routing, ZIA's premium pricing ultimately delivers a massive ROI by completely consolidating our security stack, eliminating costly hardware maintenance, and drastically reducing administrative overhead.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike most about Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) is the steep learning curve and fragmented nature of the admin UI/UX, which makes complex policy management cumbersome. While its security capabilities are strong, the deep SSL inspection frequently breaks proprietary or legacy applications, requiring tedious configuration bypasses that impact operational performance. Additionally, the initial onboarding is highly complex, and standard customer support can be slow to resolve intricate routing issues. Finally, ZIA sits at a very premium pricing point; the licensing feels rigid, and advanced AI and threat intelligence modules require expensive add-on tiers, making the total cost of ownership quite high."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler Internet Access solves the core problems of legacy VPN latency and physical hardware sprawl by moving enterprise security entirely to a cloud-native edge. Instead of backhauling traffic through a traditional data center, ZIA routes our hybrid workforce directly and securely to the internet and SaaS apps. This benefits our organization by eliminating expensive appliance maintenance and drastically reducing IT administrative overhead through tool consolidation. Most importantly, its ability to perform 100% SSL decryption and AI-driven threat inspection at scale ensures we block zero-day attacks and prevent sensitive data leaks via shadow IT, all without sacrificing network performance for our end users.

What do you like best about the product?
However, the best thing about it is the centralized cloud management. It eliminates the need to maintain and scale any on-premises security appliances. Having everything managed globally through a single console is extremely efficient and makes day-to-day administration much simpler.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, troubleshooting can be challenging because the logging process isn’t always instantaneous. For example, if a user gets blocked from accessing a site, having to wait for the traffic logs to appear on the dashboard to understand why the user was blocked can take a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem: The cost of managing on-site firewalls and web proxies across multiple office locations was high, and it also led to fragmented security policies.
Benefit: After implementing web security in the cloud, there is no longer a need to purchase, deploy, and maintain hardware infrastructure. As a result, no matter which office location is being used, users consistently get the same level of security and the same web filtering.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate using Zscaler Internet Access for work as a VPN client because it allows me to be connected to the internet in a secure way everywhere. I like that it's easy to deal with and works well in the background. I value the safe connection to the internet, which means I don't need to worry about public WiFi being a risk. Setting it up was very easy and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's more the policies that we have, which are that I must authenticate once every 24 hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler Internet Access allows me to connect to the internet securely everywhere, ensuring safe connections even on public Wi-Fi without worries about risks.

Complexity of Initial SSL Inspection Configuration: While ZIA handles SSL decryption beautifully once it's running, getting the initial configuration dialed in can be a headache.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ZIA enables a secure Direct-to-Internet architecture. Users connect straight to the cloud via the nearest Zscaler data center. This has significantly reduced our network backhaul costs, freed up data center bandwidth, and dramatically improved application performance for our workforce.
