CloudSee Drive is a browser-based S3 file manager for teams. Users can browse, organize, search, tag, and govern objects in Amazon S3. The focus is on daily tasks: uploading, downloading, viewing, tagging, and finding files. This saves time and keeps storage costs in check. The Console wasn't built for file-level work at scale. CloudSee Drive fills that gap with proprietary indexing for sub-second S3 search, a UI built for humans, and workflows designed for the IT managers, AWS administrators, and end users who live inside S3 every day.
CloudSee Drive is a browser-based S3 file manager for teams. It gives IT managers, AWS administrators, and the users they support a fast, simple way to browse, search, tag, and govern objects in Amazon S3, without the install headaches, Windows-only constraints, and single-seat limits of desktop tools, or the file-level pain of working directly in the AWS Console.
The proof is in the numbers: VisionAST cut their S3 management time by 75% after implementing CloudSee Drive.
The Console wasn't built for file-level work at scale. Once a bucket holds millions of objects, native tooling slows to a crawl and basic tasks like search, tagging, and sharing turn painful. Desktop clients help, but they're local installs, fundamentally single-user, and often tied to one operating system. CloudSee Drive closes that gap with a tool designed for the way teams work with S3 every day.
The core difference is Fast Buckets, proprietary indexing that delivers sub-second search across buckets holding millions of objects. Where every alternative either lacks search entirely or chokes once a bucket grows past a few thousand objects, CloudSee Drive returns results instantly. Finding a file takes seconds instead of minutes, and that compounds across every member of the team, every day.
In addition, Tag Explorer turns S3 metadata into a real navigation layer. Teams can slice buckets by project, client, environment, or any tag dimension that matters. Tagging discipline finally pays off instead of sitting unused.
Multi-user controls & granular permissions let IT extend safe S3 access to developers, ops, and non-technical users without handing out AWS credentials or building custom IAM scaffolding for every request. And because CloudSee Drive runs on AWS and reads your buckets directly, there's no migration, no proprietary storage layer, and no new lock-in. Your data stays exactly where it is, on the AWS cloud you already trust.
CloudSee Drive is built for organizations running real S3 workloads, where storage is more than just backup, and users need to find, share, and act on files every day. That includes media & creative agencies, manufacturers managing engineering files & CAD drawings, healthcare & life sciences organizations handling regulated data, and legal firms with large document archives. It's also a strong fit for MSPs managing AWS environments across multiple clients, where scoped, per-client access without custom tooling is a constant operational headache.
The product is built by Webapper, a cloud application engineering consultancy and AWS partner of 14+ years. CloudSee Drive is built by engineers who have spent more than a decade designing, deploying, and scaling production AWS systems, with the depth to back enterprise deployments.
For teams switching from Cyberduck, S3 Browser, or CloudBerry Explorer, CloudSee Drive eliminates the single-user, single-OS ceiling. And for those who have outgrown the AWS Console, CloudSee Drive is the way S3 file management should work: simple, searchable, and superfast.
Highlights
SIMPLE. Browser-based S3 file manager. No installation required. Access your S3 buckets from any device with a familiar Explorer or Finder interface. Upload files up to 5TB with automatic recovery and progress monitoring. Get S3 file management without AWS CLI.
SEARCHABLE. S3 Search Across Millions of Objects. Find any file in seconds with intelligent bucket indexing. Search by filename, metadata, custom tags, and file attributes. Turn unstructured S3 storage into organized, searchable cloud storage. CloudSee Drive is exponentially better than AWS Console for S3.
SUPERFAST. Faster S3 Management with Fast Buckets. Reduce S3 administration time with 10x faster search performance. Structured indexing system lowers storage costs and eliminates the frustration of navigating large S3 buckets.

You pay based on usage across two categories. First, hourly software charges apply per user, split into two rates: one for admin users and one for regular non-admin users. Each user who can sign in counts, whether or not they log in. You manage user counts in the admin console, and changes appear in the next billing cycle. Second, object indexing charges apply per object. You pay one rate to build the initial index of a bucket, and a separate rate to sync the index as bucket contents change.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as a user for the hourly software charge?
A user is anyone who can sign in to the system, managed through the admin console. You are charged whether or not that person actually logs in. Admin users bill at one hourly rate, and regular non-admin users bill at a separate rate. Remove unused users in the console to stop their charges.
How do the object indexing charges combine with the per-user charges?
You pay both at the same time on one bill. Per-user charges accrue hourly based on how many users can sign in. Object charges accrue per object as the index is built and synced. User count drives ongoing cost, while object charges scale with bucket size and how often contents change.
What is the difference between initial indexing and index sync charges?
Initial indexing charges apply once when the index for a bucket is first built, priced per object. Index sync charges apply afterward as bucket contents change, also priced per object. Sync charges reflect ongoing object changes, so buckets that change often accrue more sync cost over time.
