The c5 dimensions cover compute-optimized instances, ranging from c5.large up to c5.9xlarge and the bare-metal c5.metal. Larger instances handle heavier or more concurrent zipping workloads. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs.

You pay an hourly software charge tied to the EC2 instance size you choose. This runs the S3 Zipper server on that machine. The underlying AWS compute and storage costs are billed separately by AWS. Larger instance sizes carry higher hourly software rates because they handle heavier zipping loads.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. When you stop the EC2 instance, the software charge stops accruing. A fully stopped instance does not generate software charges, though AWS may still bill for attached storage. To pause billing, stop the instance when not zipping.
The t3 and t2 dimensions are burstable general-purpose instances, suited to lighter or intermittent zipping jobs. The c5 dimensions are compute-optimized, including bare-metal c5.metal, and handle heavier or more concurrent zipping. Since the software processes files by streaming, more compute capacity supports larger requests and parallel tasks.

Setup Instructions:
- Instance Creation: When creating a new instance, select Resource-based naming (RBN) as the hostname type under "Advanced details." Avoid IP address-based naming (IPBN) as it requires additional configuration.

What do you like best about the product?
ZipperV2 is secure to use for storing data in S3 Buckets because it encrypts and compresses files stored in Amazon S3. ZipperV2 allows for huge file uploads as well as massive file compression and unzipping. Uploading to an S3 bucket requires no prior experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though it is highly safe to store files, it will cost us more if we need to unzip or download files.
