This listing has one pricing dimension covering Red Hat Product Trials for Cloud Services, and it is free. You set the quantity to 1 to gain entitlement to the trial. There are no paid tiers, usage add-ons, or instance-size options to choose from. The single dimension gives you no-cost access to evaluate the product. You are still responsible for any AWS infrastructure charges you incur while using it. Because pricing is a single flat entitlement, there is nothing that scales with usage or seat count.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does setting the quantity to 1 actually entitle me to?
Quantity 1 gives you a single trial entitlement to evaluate the product. It is not a per-user or per-server count. The trial runs for a set period, typically 60 days, and is self-supported through the Red Hat Customer Portal. You cannot stack multiple units for extra capacity or seats.
Am I charged anything if I run the trial workload on AWS infrastructure?
The trial software itself carries no charge. You remain responsible for any AWS infrastructure charges you incur while running it, such as compute and storage. Those AWS fees accrue based on the resources you provision, independent of the free trial entitlement. For infrastructure assistance, consult AWS directly.
What happens to my cost when the trial period ends?
When the 60-day trial period ends, some trials automatically convert to standard rates and are charged unless you cancel first. Trials are for evaluation only, not production use. To continue using the software afterward, you purchase a subscription or, where allowed, renew the trial after a waiting period.
