Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for the TomEE installation and provisioning. Apache TomEE is an all-Apache Jakarta EE 9.1 certified application server extends Apache Tomcat that is assembled from a vanilla Apache Tomcat zip file. We start with Apache Tomcat, add our jars, and zip up the rest. The result is Tomcat plus EE features - TomEE. Apache TomEE comes with different flavors, we have installed the most complete of them, called Plus.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for a preconfigured Apache TomEE (Plus) application server running on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. The many dimensions are not feature tiers. Each one maps to a specific Amazon EC2 instance type. Your hourly rate depends on the instance you choose. General-purpose families (t2, t3, t3a, m4, m5, m6, m7 and their variants) scale from small sizes like nano and micro up to large multi-core and bare-metal options. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates because they provide more compute and memory. You run only what you need and stop anytime.

Each dimension gives you a preconfigured Apache TomEE (Plus) application server on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, running on the Amazon EC2 instance type named in that dimension. The instance type sets the number of virtual CPUs and memory. You choose the size that fits your workload.
The software fee meters running hours only. When you stop the instance, hourly software charges stop too. Underlying AWS storage for the volume may still apply while the instance is stopped. You pay the software rate only for the hours the server actually runs.
Yes. The dimensions are not locked feature tiers. You can stop your instance and relaunch on a different EC2 type, or run a new one. Your hourly software rate then follows the instance type you select. You are billed per hour on whichever type is active.
