With RiverMeadow Workload Mobility, customers are given access to the RiverMeadow SaaS-based (on-premise Private Deployment is also available to address regulatory requirements) portal where setup wizards enable the automated deployment of the RMS Migration Appliance into the customers target AWS Account. The RMS Migration Appliance queries source machines (Physical, Virtual or Cloud) and provides Discovery information (Applications and Compute Rightsizing recommendations). Sources can added to Move Groups (based on Application Stack name or Project-based constructs like Waves or Sprints). Source(s) or Move Groups are selected for migration where placement criteria is selected using a simple UI to conduct migrations to target AWS VPC(s). RiverMeadow Workload Mobility provides several migrations methods to address a diverse set of use cases.
Highlights
Providing ultimate flexibility and simplicity to Workload and Data Mobility: Perform VM-based Migrations (where RiverMeadow orchestrates the migration through the underlying hypervisor) or OS-based Migrations (where RiverMeadow orchestrates the migration through the underlying source Operating System).
Workload Modernization: Migrate and modernize existing workloads (Physical, Virtual or Cloud) to AWS EC2 while modernizing the underlying Target Instance Operating System to a modern & supported version. Reduce technical debt by retiring legacy Windows Server and Linux distributions and versions as part of a migration onto AWS.
Application Modernization: Migrate and modernize existing applications such as Microsoft SQL Server and IIS to AWS EC2 while modernizing the underlying Target Application version to a modern & supported version. Reduce technical debt by retiring legacy Microsoft SQL Server versions as part of a migration onto AWS.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.

Rivermeadow_Workload Mobility_Managed Migration Service Offer
RiverMeadow Workload Mobility - Managed-Migration Service Offer (RiverMeadow provided Services Offer including Discovery & Assessment, Intake & Wave Planning, Migration Execution, Post-Migration Automation, Post-Migration Validation and dedicated Project Management) Note - an initial order of 50 Entitlements is required as the ARR commitment to AWS must be > 125K.
You buy this platform through two entitlement dimensions, each priced per unit. The Self-Service Migration Entitlement lets your own team move a source workload to AWS EC2. The Managed-Migration Service Offer instead bundles RiverMeadow-delivered services, including discovery and assessment, wave planning, migration execution, post-migration automation and validation, plus dedicated project management. You choose either option based on whether you want to run migrations yourself or have RiverMeadow handle delivery. Both require an initial order of 50 units, since the annual commitment to AWS must exceed 125K. Units scale with the number of workloads migrated.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one migration entitlement or service unit for billing?
Each unit maps to one source workload moved to AWS EC2. A workload is typically a virtual machine you migrate. You count units by the number of workloads you plan to move. Your first order must cover 50 units.
How does the Self-Service Entitlement differ mechanically from the Managed-Migration Service Offer?
The Self-Service Entitlement gives your team platform access to run migrations to AWS EC2 yourself. The Managed-Migration Service Offer bills for RiverMeadow-delivered work: discovery, assessment, wave planning, migration execution, post-migration automation, validation, and project management. One prices tooling access; the other prices done-for-you services.
What happens to my cost if I need to migrate more workloads than my initial 50 units?
Both dimensions are priced per unit, so cost scales directly with the number of workloads. To migrate more workloads, you add more units. The initial 50-unit minimum applies to your first order; additional units cover added workloads beyond that base.
