Pricing is based on migration Entitlements, where each Entitlement covers moving one source workload to AWS. You buy a fixed block of Entitlements, and cost scales with block size, from 20 up to 5,600. Most blocks bundle Managed-Migration Service support: discovery, wave planning, execution, post-migration automation, validation, and project management. Self-service options provide Entitlements without managed support, including an unlimited-Entitlement option. A separate platform option gives access to the unified discovery, migration, and modernization platform. An initial order of 50 Entitlements applies, since the AWS commitment must exceed 125K annually.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One Entitlement covers migrating a single source workload to AWS EC2. A workload is one server or virtual machine you move. If you buy a 100-Entitlement block, you can migrate up to 100 source workloads under that purchase.
Self-service Entitlements give you licensing to run migrations yourself, with no bundled delivery help. The SS+MMS blocks add RiverMeadow-provided services: discovery and assessment, intake and wave planning, migration execution, post-migration automation, validation, and dedicated project management. Both meter the same per-workload Entitlement.
Each block is a fixed count of Entitlements, from 20 up to 5,600. If your migration exceeds the block you bought, you purchase a larger block or add more Entitlements. An UNLIMITED Self-Service option removes the per-workload count for large or open-ended migrations.
