Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.

You pay by the hour for the Oracle DB 11g Client software running on an EC2 instance. Each pricing dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you choose. Smaller instances like t2.nano or t3.small carry lower hourly rates. Larger and specialized instances, such as memory-optimized, compute-optimized, GPU, or bare-metal types, carry higher rates. Pricing scales with instance size and family, not with usage volume or features. The software includes 24/7 support with a 24-hour response SLA. You only pay while your instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for the hourly rate on each instance type?
You get the Oracle Database Client 11g Administrator software preinstalled, including SQL*Plus, Oracle Net, and client utilities to connect to remote databases. It also bundles the AWS CLI, SSM Agent, CloudWatch Agent, and 24/7 support with a 24-hour response SLA. The hourly rate covers the software running on your chosen instance.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when my instance is stopped?
The software rate meters only while your instance runs. When you stop the instance, hourly software charges stop. You may still incur separate AWS storage fees for the attached volume, but the listing software itself bills running time only.
How do I move to a larger instance if my needs grow, and how does that change my rate?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type. To change size, you launch or resize to a different instance type, and your hourly rate switches to that type's rate. There is no tiered upgrade path; the rate simply follows whichever instance you run at the time.
