HAProxy Enterprise is a fast, flexible, and reliable software load balancer. It features SSL termination and offloading, multi-layered security including a web application firewall (WAF), detailed observability, application acceleration, and robust administration. HAProxy Enterprise is backed by authoritative support and professional services.
HAProxy Enterprise enables modern application delivery at any scale and in any environment, including on AWS. Fast and efficient load balancing improves application performance and reliability (2 million RPS on a single Arm-based AWS Graviton2 instance). Multi-layered security protects applications against DoS, bots, abuse, and layer 7 application attacks. Observability features enable fast issue resolution, pro-active prevention, and informed capacity planning.
Simple to deploy and administer, with flexible service discovery, RESTful Data Plane API, single sign-on (SSO), zero downtime reloads, automatic dynamic updates of ACL/Map files, SSL/TLS certificate automation (including Let's Encrypt integration and OCSP stapling), device detection and geolocation databases.
HAProxy Enterprise on AWS is compatible with HAProxy Fusion for centralized management, monitoring, and automation, including support for AWS Auto Scaling groups, Route 53, and CloudWatch. This combination simplifies the management and observability of your load balancing and WAF layers at scale.

HAProxy Enterprise Basic - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 AMI
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for HAProxy Enterprise Basic running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. Pricing is billed per instance-hour, so your cost tracks how long each instance runs. The dimensions map to specific EC2 instance types, from small sizes like t2.nano and t3.micro up to large and bare-metal options such as m8i.metal-96xl and u7in-32tb.224xlarge. Each instance type carries its own hourly rate that reflects its compute, memory, and hardware profile. You select the instance type that fits your workload. There is no upfront commitment; you scale by adding or resizing instances.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged when an instance running HAProxy Enterprise Basic is stopped?
Software charges apply per running instance-hour. A stopped instance does not accrue hourly software fees. Underlying AWS storage costs may still apply while the instance is stopped, but the software license meters only running time. You control cost by stopping instances you do not need.
What does one hourly unit map to for this listing?
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select, billed per hour. Sizes range from t2.nano up to bare-metal options like m8i.metal-96xl. The rate reflects that instance's compute, memory, and hardware profile. Larger instance types carry higher hourly rates.
If I run several instance types at once, how does my bill combine?
Each running instance bills independently at its own hourly rate. Your total is the sum of every instance's hours multiplied by its rate. Larger or bare-metal instances contribute more per hour. You can mix sizes across your deployment and each appears separately on the invoice.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Launching AMI: Deploy the HAProxy Enterprise AMI using the instance size of your choice. We recommend choosing an instance with at least 2 CPUs and with at least 8 GB RAM. Select the instance size, agree to the subscription terms, and follow the AMI configuration instructions.
Connecting to Instance: Once the AMI has been launched and fully booted (instance is being shown as healthy) you can connect to it using the SSH key pair that you selected while launching the instance.
Use the following command to connect to the instance depending upon the operating system that you selected. Please make note of the instance IP and connect either through private IP (from bastion host) or through public IP (EIP):
Ubuntu: ssh -i <private key> ubuntu@<ec2 IP>
Red Hat Enterprise Linux: ssh -i <private key> ec2-user@<ec2 IP>
Starting and Managing the service: The HAProxy Enterprise service will automatically run upon initialization. You can manage the process using systemctl.
To view the process status run systemctl status hapee-2.6-lb

What do you like best about the product?
An easy upgrade, professional support, and a stable system. I feel we are getting very good value for the investment in ALOHA HAProxy. The product is lightweight, easy to use, and straightforward to manage, while still providing the capabilities we need. One of the key advantages for us is the ability to commit configuration changes instantly, which makes configuration updates and operational changes much more efficient.
The support has also been excellent. The support team is professional, responsive, and knowledgeable, and they have been able to guide us effectively when updating the configuration to meet our specific requirements. Overall, the combination of product simplicity, operational efficiency, and strong technical support makes the pricing well justified for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
It only keeps limited logs, so if I don’t have syslog servers, I won’t have the logs available for investigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to configure, and any changes can be committed within seconds. It’s also super lightweight.
