Overview
The SS&C Blue Prism DA platform is a complete and scalable solution that classifies and digitizes faxed or scanned forms into automation-ready data. Our strengths are our ability to accurately find and classify your structured forms and our proven 98% accuracy reading real-world, low-quality printed and handwritten text, numbers, checkboxes, and signature detection. Advanced features such as QR codes, barcodes, address validation and other specialized readers are available on request.
Set up is easy and requires no coding or machine learning training. Your blank forms are used as templates to locate and extract individual form fields for digitization. Our document recognition engine automatically finds and classifies pages by matching them to your templates.
Data transformations can be applied to make data output consistent and ready for ingestion into a Robotic Process Automation (RPA). There is an optional human-in-the-loop data perfection step to further inspect the digitized results, apply human-determined business logic, and any other corrections if necessary. Integration is available via API or the Blue Prism connector.
Document Automation offers a simple price per page that includes all its features: classifier, digitizer, development UI and the use of our human-in-the-loop review interface. Advanced features, transformations setup and API integration require Professional Services or partner assistance.
Combined with Blue Prism Chorus BPM and Blue Prism RPA, Blue Prism provides a complete and comprehensive Intelligent Document Processing and Business Process Management suite that drives efficiency and customer experiences.

Dimensions summary
You buy this product as a prepaid contract based on the number of digitized pages you can process. Three volume options are available: 100,000 pages, 250,000 pages, and 1,000,000 pages. Each option is a fixed page allowance that you must use within one year of purchase. Pricing scales with the page volume you commit to upfront. You choose the tier that matches your expected document processing needs. The dimensions differ only by page capacity, not by feature set, so you select based on how many pages you plan to process in the year.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A digitized page is a single page the product processes and extracts data from, including handwritten documents, images, and PDFs. Each page you run through classification and extraction draws down one page from your purchased allowance, regardless of the source format.
Your page allowance expires one year after purchase. Any pages you do not process within that period are forfeited. Plan your tier around expected annual document volume, since unused pages do not carry over beyond the one-year window.
Each tier is a fixed prepaid page count. Once you use up the allowance, you would need additional pages to keep processing. To handle higher volume, choose a larger tier upfront or contact the vendor about adding capacity.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how effective it is at creating digital workflows, especially when handling large databases. Its intelligent document processing and business process management system really enhance efficiency, which is what I like most about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, there are some debugging issues, and I have noticed latency as well. Additionally, the reporting or turnaround time can be challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We began using SS&C Blue Prism Intelligent Automation primarily to eliminate repetitive manual tasks across several departments, including finance, customer service, and HR. Previously, we spent a significant amount of time on straightforward yet high-volume activities such as verifying data from spreadsheets, updating CRM records, and sending follow-up emails. With Blue Prism, we were able to implement digital workers that now manage these processes in the background with minimal oversight.

What do you like best about the product?
Continuously innovating the platform to keep up with Business needs and technology. Ease of implementing new processes that requires integration of multiple applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
We encountered intermittent deadlock issues with runtime resources that was difficult to troubleshoot. It doesn't happen often, but enough to be a pain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of mundane tasks such as generating/sending reports to internal and external customers, attaching information to SAP, or integrating SAP outputs to other applications. This helps us to free up business hours from our buyers and planners, as well as meeting SLA and quality requirements. More importantly, this is helping us to drive digital transformation.

The finest features were the automation of monotonous tasks, the capacity to grow up even further, and the easy connection.

I'm not sure if the hefty cost is a drawback or not, but several subjects lack resources, which makes setup challenging at first.

A major hindrance to the daily timetable was the manual activities. Those were removed with the aid of Blueprisn, and our repetitive duties are now better organized.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about the Blue Prism Intelligent Automation Platform is its ease of use, and lean towards citizen development. Many alternatives on the market at convoluted, difficult to use, require a lot of hands-on interaction, and struggle to remain modern from a UX perspective. Customers are always impressed when we showcase solutions, built on the Blue Prism platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling can sometimes be clunky and the level of feedback we receive from scheduled tasks isn't always the best. We currently do more manage and monitoring than we expected, but I'm sure this will be solved with Next Gen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is automating mundane, time consuming processes across the busines, which are taking up valuable SME time. It's helping create an audit trail of workflows and requests. It's formed a relationship between IT and the business, which we didn't have before.
